How to Write 16 Bars of a Freestyle Rap Song and Watch Your Song Go to the Top http://www.FreestyleMethod.com
In this article, we will discuss 16 bars of a freestyle rap song. When writing your 16 bars, you have a couple of options as to how you are going to write them. Option #1 - Write while listening to a beat This is what I would recommend to be the best option. Most beats that you will hear or create follow exact or very similar drumbeats and patterns. When you write the verse or verses while listening to the beat, they can fit in very easily with the different beats that you are listening to. Another reason that I recommend this option is that if you are listening and writing at the same time, you can work with your flow, slow it down or speed it up to match the flow. You can also play around more with your lines. You can take a word or phrase and shorten it or stretch it out over the different beats to get it to sound the way you want it to. Option #2 - Write without a beat A lot of times, you may get a streak of creativity where you aren't near any place that you can listen to a beat. In a situation like this, just write and keep writing. I like to listen to a lot of different beats. When I find one that I really like, I will listen to it over and over again until I hear it in my head. This exercise comes in real handy if you get in a place where you get that streak of creativity and aren't in a place that you can turn on a beat. When this happens to me, I turn on what is in my head. I can then write listening to a beat that I know and am familiar with. These are two options that will help you to write a 16 bar freestyle rap song. Use these options as you write your songs.
