WHAT ARE THE SOLUTIONS?
With a warmer planet The photos in this collage were obtained from the Internet. This is a resource material intended for my college students under the teacher education program. One of their courses, General Education Home Economics and Livelihood Education/ Entrepreneurship, includes the topic ‘Sustainable development of the human well-being.’ Sustainable development has three components - economic, social, and environment. Climate change is one of the issues being addressed by sustainable development. As our planet gets warmer, there will be extreme weather conditions, more flooding, changes in plant cycles and animal migration patterns, rise of sea level, and gradual destruction of corals due to acidification. These changes will also affect peoples’ lives and livelihood activities. Thus, the global community is now finding ways to halt climate change by finding renewable energy sources, collaboration, and through education.
