Inspired by mental Illness, I am going to use my way to express it through my collections. Mental Illness → Fashion Madness Play around with the outer silhouette and inner feelings, try to “say something” as a perspective for a mental illness patient and also a fashion designer. The aim for me to choose MI to be my theme is kind of convey a positive awareness to audience through my collections. They are just special. The struggles for them from people is unnecessary and unequal.

HAN FU collection the inspiration came from the traditional Chinese costumes, This collection creates a harmonious blend of seemingly contradictory elements: mix casual and elegant , aesthetics and culture , the traditional and modernity is complex and subtle . The fabric uses flowing silks and heavy brocades . All designs with simple clean line and the corresponding contrast colour. At the neckline, front and back designs inject more Chinese element like embroidery the Chinese traditional makeup look , beading on the details to reinforce traditional Chinese culture

My collection is named the butterfly effect; because my inspiration comes from the butterfly, its intrinsic and fragile nature fascinates me. I chose to explore the essential nature of the butterfly and incorporate in my design by looking into the structure, surface design and the message of the butterfly theory which implies that a little change or detail can make a huge difference; and that’s what my collection is about, diversifying each piece by adding or removing a detail to change the overall effect of the design. The collection is designed for the sophisticated, bold and self-assured woman, who is not afraid to explore.

This collection is inspired by the traditional Chinese costume Qipao. LEOSU YING decided to come out with the theme “Qipao for the spring summer 2017 collection. Designer underwent the influence of traditional culture and modern notion to explore the beauty of women. With this concept, the cotton fabric with Chinese pattern was the main material. Some of the designs were made by modern materials. There are also detailing like embroidery flowers that has been added on the garments.

Inspired by aspects of Moroccan architecture, my Athleisure collection is deeply infused by its culture, art and heritage combined with styles of the modern active women. This collection exudes strength in character of a women, poise and femininity as well as touch of comfort. The texture of geometric patterns of the Moroccan tiles that is colorful adds spunk and attitude in this collection.

YOUTH is inspired by Harajuku fashion- Fairy Kei. Harajuku style is all about self-expression. The hub of this youth-oriented, street-fashion craze is the area surrounding Harajuku Station in Tokyo. Fairy kei, meaning fairy style, is a popular Japanese street fashion trend and it has been around for years now. It is centers around pastels, fluorescent colours, 80s and the 90s inspired fashion that brings back memories of our childhood. Food, games and Malaysian words were added to create the combination of Malaysia and Harajuku culture into a collection. Velcro and interactive slider embellishment bring the uniqueness of the collection.

A fantasy set in the Victorian era tells the story of a twin sisters, neither of them possessed their memories of when they were still alive. Due to the lost of their memories, they appear to not be on good terms with each other after death. This collection portrays the afterlife of the twin sisters, how they have lived through with memories lost and deep hatred for each other and yet, there is nothing that can really break the sisters bond.

My collection is inspired from the German army during the world war two. My focus on this collection was my admiration towards humans in uniform. The clean cut uniforms, what they wore from top to bottom and how they assemble their ammunitions and details attached on their uniform was what I focused on. This collection is meant to show the strength of “Armed men’. The layering is to show the manly side but with thoughts of comfort yet with a modernized touch. The colours, print and fabric of this collection expresses the simplicity and effortlessness in the army uniform with Shades of colour which includes black, nude brown, grey, blue and camouflage prints.

My collection is inspired by the elusive and invisible lines that make up Constellations, how their build-up is made and their structure. To highlight these, I focused on a mix of different contrasting fabrics, unique panelling and pleating to symbolize the lines that make up constellations. Having been inspired by the study of astronomy and stars – combining two passions; fashion & amp; astronomy – I explored this field, pairing it with couture-inspired sewing techniques. I hope to create more awareness on astronomical studies especially in our country Malaysia. “…aim for the moon; if you miss, you shall be among the stars…”

Biology can be artsy too. My collection is inspired by the human blood cell. Thus, it is called ‘Inner Beauty’. It is a product of simple texture, colour and shape (A-Line). To give a comfortable natural look, I chose to use brush cotton, cotton silk, and cotton yarn for my collection while to highlight a unique look, I’ve stitched handmade embellishments on each outfit.

My principle focus was to capture the majestic beauty and powerful characters of the Golden Eagle. This collection is meant to stimulate women’s poise and boost their self-confidence. The strong geometric design and bold silhouette embrace the attractive characters of this species. The colours and texture of this collection illustrate the magnificent plumage of the Golden Eagle, which includes a few shades of brown and golden brown texture.

In my collection, the black outfit represents a character of an archetypal, romantic and mystical person – the vampire. The deep burgundy, on the other hand, signifies the bloodthirsty nature of the character. The colour gives stunning highlights to darker shades while the additional vein motive on the outfits gives them more of the mysterious look.

The Mughal Era is one of the most important eras having influenced the Indian fashion, with its intricate designs and unique hand crafted jewellery pieces, which still amazes people to date. Just like the Taj Mahal, which changes colour according to the time of day from pink, to white to orange, this collection is full of colour effects. When the stones catch the lights, it really is a mesmerizing sight.

Typified by denim fabric colours, glitter spray and diamante element beads, Sherly’s ready-to-wear collection is chic and risqué in equal measure. This capsule collection looks into the lives of creative individuals and the sexual orientation of the current generation, where straight, oversized, and clean silhouettes dominates the genderless society and how they see themselves as one; indifferent from one another. Back to the Future explores the depth of past trends and implements them into a modern, and ageless look, where an individual deemed to fit.
