HIGH WAYSIDE AMENITIES

THE PROPOSED DESIGN IS A HIGHWAY-SIDE AMENITY CENTER. THE SITE IS SITUATED NEAR TOLL PLAZA ON XYZ HIGHWAY. THE PROPOSAL HAS A EXTENSIVE USE OF STEEL. EACH STRUCTURE IN THE PROPOSAL IS DESIGNED WITH THE STUDY OF ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES

THE AMENITY CENTER GIVES A BREAK FROM THE MONOTONOUS HIGHWAY JOURNEY. IT HAS THE MOST ESSENTIAL FACILITIES SUCH AS A FUEL STATION FOOD COURT, ATM, AND AUTOMOBILE SERVICE, BESIDES THIS IT ALSO HAS ALLEGED AMENITIES SUCH AS A CAFÉ, MOTEL, FOOD STALLS, SHOPS, ETC ALSO CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUND AND OUTDOOR SITTING AREA FOR RECREATIONAL PURPOSES

DESIGN INTEND

TO UNDERSTAND THE COMPLEXITY OF PUBLIC BUILDING W.R.T. TO THE BY-LAWS, STANDARDS, VEHICULAR MOVEMENT, FOOTFALL, ETC. TO UNDERSTAND THE ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUE, SERVICES, AND STRUCTURE FOR ENCLOSURE

THE SITE MEASURES ABOUT SQ.M. IT IS SITUATED NEAR SAMRIDHI MAHAMARGTOLLL PLAZA WITH A 60 M WIDE ROAD ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE SITE

OUTCOMES

THE EXPECTED OUTCOME IS TO PROPOSE A DESIGN OF WAYSIDE AMENITIES FOR THE ROAD USER AND FACILITIES SUCH AS FOOD, FUEL, PARKING, MEDICAL FACILITY, ACCOMMODATION ETC.

THE PROPOSED DESIGN WOULD INCLUDE LARGESCALE PUBLIC STRUCTURES CONSTRUCTED UTILIZING ADVANCED BUILDING CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES, AND THE SPACES WILL BE SET UP TO ALLOW FOR PROPER CAR CIRCULATION AND VEHICLE-INTEGRATED ACTIVITIES

DESIGN STRATEGIES

01 CIRCULATION

THE MAIN MOTIVE OF THE DESIGN IS TO ENSURE MINIMUM INTERSECTION OF VEHICLES.

02 ACCESS TO THE SITE

A TOTAL OF 4 MAIN ENTRIES TO SITES ARE PROVIDED TO MAXIMUM SEAMLESS CIRCULATION WITHOUT INTERSECTION

03 CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUE

• SPACE FRAME

A SPACE FRAME IS A TRUSS-LIKE, TRIVIAL STUFF STRUCTURE BUILT FROM INTERLOCKING STRUTS IN A GEOMETRIC PATTERN.

THE SPACE FRAME TECHNIQUE IS USED BECAUSE IT IS SUITABLE FOR STRUCTURES THAT HAVE IRREGULAR PLAN SHAPES ALSO THEY ARE COLUMN-FREE, HAVE LARGE SPANS, AND ARE INSTALLED FAST OR CAN BE PREFABRICATED EXCELLENT SPANTO-DEPTH RATIO

• TENSILE ROOFING

A TENSILE ROOF IS USED BECAUSE IT IS USED FOR LONGSPAN APPLICATIONS IT CAN BE INSTALLED TO ACHIEVE THE POSSIBILITY OF COLUMN-FREE SPACE DUE TO THE LIGHTWEIGHT NATURE OF THE MEMBRANE.

AREA PROGRAM

THE PROPOSAL IS DESIGNED FOR 800 PEOPLE AT A TIME, AS IN 250 CARS AND 25 HEAVY VEHICLES. ACCORDING TO WHICH ZONES HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED

Rajasthan is the most visited state and is an iconic landmark that catches the eye with the royalty, traditional forts mahala rich culture, and diversities, architecturally rich elements such as jharokhas, jalis, Mayur arches, royal carpets, etc.

Khabra-Khurd village is located at 65km on the north side of jodhpur, it is characterized by deserts on the west and south sides

on the context the house was designed according to the need and habitat of the people of khabra-khurd village.

Internal open spaces, become another thematic element in all scales of domestic architecture. From small urban houses to large mansions and palaces, courtyards became the key organizational elements responding to climatic conditions as well as the cultural needs of communities.

This private internal open space also acquired special significance while serving various levels of privacy. A wide range of household activities could extend into courtyards.

Campus Planning And Design On A Contoured Site.

The campus is to be designed as music Mahavidyalaya dedicated to the work and philosophies of swar kokila and Bharat Ratna lata Mangeshkar ji

Introduction

As the brief suggests the need was to design a music Mahavidyalaya at Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh for a total of 300 students, 50 staff dedicated to lata Mangeshkar ji.

Site

The site measures 3.8 acres with contours and vegetation

Challenges

1. Understanding behaviour of contours and handling large site

2. Understand the climate and implement it in the built form

3. To design the institute with the essence of a personality and show their building trends.

Requirements

1. Department for dance music rehearsal and recordings.

2. Academic: administration, classrooms, conference, faculty room, Riyaz room, library, toilets, recording studios. Residential: student, faculty guests.

3. Other recreation areas such as pavilions kiosks, courtyard auditoriums, passages walkways
