HIGH WAYSIDE AMENITIES

THE PROPOSED DESIGN IS A HIGHWAY-SIDE AMENITY CENTER. THE SITE IS SITUATED NEAR TOLL PLAZA ON XYZ HIGHWAY. THE PROPOSAL HAS A EXTENSIVE USE OF STEEL. EACH STRUCTURE IN THE PROPOSAL IS DESIGNED WITH THE STUDY OF ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES.

THE AMENITY CENTER GIVES A BREAK FROM THE MONOTONOUS HIGHWAY JOURNEY. IT HAS THE MOST ESSENTIAL FACILITIES SUCH AS A FUEL STATION FOOD COURT, ATM, AND AUTOMOBILE SERVICE, BESIDES THIS IT ALSO HAS ALLEGED AMENITIES SUCH AS A CAFÉ, MOTEL, FOOD STALLS, SHOPS, ETC. ALSO CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUND AND OUTDOOR SITTING AREA FOR RECREATIONAL PURPOSES.

DESIGN INTEND

TO UNDERSTAND THE COMPLEXITY OF PUBLIC BUILDING W.R.T. TO THE BY-LAWS, STANDARDS, VEHICULAR MOVEMENT, FOOTFALL, ETC. TO UNDERSTAND THE ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUE, SERVICES, AND STRUCTURE FOR ENCLOSURE

OUTCOMES

THE EXPECTED OUTCOME IS TO PROPOSE A DESIGN OF WAYSIDE AMENITIES FOR THE ROAD USER AND FACILITIES SUCH AS FOOD, FUEL, PARKING, MEDICAL FACILITY, ACCOMMODATION ETC.

THE PROPOSAL IS DESIGNED FOR 800 PEOPLE AT A TIME, AS IN 250 CARS AND 25 HEAVY VEHICLES. ACCORDING TO WHICH ZONES HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED

THE SITE MEASURES ABOUT SQ.M. IT IS SITUATED NEAR SAMRIDHI MAHAMARGTOLLL PLAZA WITH A 60 M WIDE ROAD ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE SITE

01. CIRCULATION 02 ACCESS TO THE SITE

THE MAIN MOTIVE OF THE DESIGN IS TO ENSURE MINIMUM INTERSECTION OF VEHICLES. A TOTAL OF 4 MAIN ENTRIES TO SITES ARE PROVIDED TO MAXIMUM SEAMLESS CIRCULATION WITHOUT INTERSECTION THE PROPOSED DESIGN WOULD INCLUDE LARGESCALE PUBLIC STRUCTURES CONSTRUCTED UTILIZING ADVANCED BUILDING CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES, AND THE SPACES WILL BE SET UP TO ALLOW FOR PROPER CAR CIRCULATION AND VEHICLE-INTEGRATED ACTIVITIES.

03. CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUE

• SPACE FRAME

A SPACE FRAME IS A TRUSS-LIKE, TRIVIAL STUFF STRUCTURE BUILT FROM INTERLOCKING STRUTS IN A GEOMETRIC PATTERN. THE SPACE FRAME TECHNIQUE IS USED BECAUSE IT IS SUITABLE FOR STRUCTURES THAT HAVE IRREGULAR PLAN SHAPES ALSO THEY ARE COLUMN-FREE, HAVE LARGE SPANS, AND ARE INSTALLED FAST OR CAN BE PREFABRICATED EXCELLENT SPANTO-DEPTH RATIO.

• TENSILE ROOFING

A TENSILE ROOF IS USED BECAUSE IT IS USED FOR LONGSPAN APPLICATIONS. IT CAN BE INSTALLED TO ACHIEVE THE POSSIBILITY OF COLUMN-FREE SPACE DUE TO THE LIGHTWEIGHT NATURE OF THE MEMBRANE.
