Ahmedabad consists of a vast architectural style; which varies from vernacular to the modern style. A place where the greatest architects of the world, such as Le corbosier, Louis kahn,Charles chorrea have contributed some of the best works. The brief calls for a public building in the realm of the urban envelop, under the shadow of the powerful built markers. The functionality of the project will focus on the combination of the students assessment of the need for public usage within the city. The complex should be a public building, that offer a learning environment that spatially will engage students activity,while actively creating healthy spaces for the city multi functional spaces are necessary in today’s urban sites and the building should be designed to operate over 24 hr cycle. -The main aim of the project was to focus on creating a contemporary built environment on the banks of the river sabarmathi. -The context is to create a building environment which blend with the riverfront, bridges and the lifestyle of ahmedabad. -It should also serve as an iconic symbol for the people.

Criterias:
-Experimenting the ideas of dealing with space. -Zoning of spaces, area requirements, built vs unbuilt, creating visual connections and indulging the waterbody connected to the site.
-The site is located on the banks of the river netrava. -The surroundings of the site consist of an old tile-factory(not in use)and a club house. -There is only one road that leads to the side. -Manglore faces really harsh summer and heavy monsoons. -The spaces to be created are meant for art performances, for practices and viewing. -It should also consist of recording studios, labs reference sections etc. -The attempt is to create both educational and public interaction.

concept
-The primary intention was to create a public forum at the road level as well maintain direct access to the public functions like auditorium and gallery spaces, whereas the more private functions like the academic block is placed in the lowerlevel taking advantage of the topography of the site. -The administration block was conceptualised as a connecting link between the public and private function, hence was placed between the two zones. -The form was generated mainly by maintaining the view shafts to the river on the south of the site. The requirement for sem7 product design was to design a rack. The challenge was to ensure that various land records sheets ranging from A0-A4 sizes could be stored in the rack. The rack designed evolved from considering anthropometry which is essential for making the product user friendly. The aim was also to design a compact rack which would have maximum storage space but that would occupy less of floor space.
metro roofscape and building envelope | pandora (fictional) A roofscape for the metro rail that can be used for humans and inhabitants of Pandora. Based on the movie AVATAR. In 2148, Earth on its way to death. Man, in search of Unobtaininum. (a mineral people on earth cannot survive with in future). In this period, earth has only one existing neighbour known as the Pandora. In order to gain access to this particular mineral, man creates a mode of transportation. Here it is the connection happening between two different worlds. It’s a journey from technology to nature. Spaces designed are that respond to the scale and lifestyle of both species. Also architecture that blends with the nature of both the planets.

Objective:
-The main objective was to creat a sustainable system utilizing all natural resources available in the locality. -The residence should be provided with the view of the valley confronting the site. -The various possibilities that is acquied with the orientation of the site. -Multifunctional spaces should be provided for various demands.
-The project to be designed is for the resident bank employees, the economical structure has to have a consideration towards both pleasant summers and the harsh cold winter. The project deals with the basic issues of housing like the zoning, orientation and placing of spaces to provide sufficient requirements for the residence.
