A Journey In Shanghai
Remixed City Structure & Nature Nature is invaded by human and their structures. Some buildings, instead of the sky, are remixed in a picture of a park.
Old & New Old "containers" are filled with new functions. It somehow leads to the revival of the old remnant.
Local & Exotic Historic reasons brought the exotic gene to the city. The local and the exotic get along with each other under a certain order.
Individuation & Homogenization Besides the mainstream, we can see the personal styles remixed in different field.
Mixer Shanghai is the city that has been remixed with many other elements spontaneously or artificially. The intense and behavior of people influence the city increasingly. What we can do is to guide this mixing process and shape the needed character of the city.

Individual participating the events can be the an active factor. The infection within the mutual circle has a easier spread. Participants have trust and acceptance, so it will occur even in a bare space. The alternative infection is more difficult to occur. It requires the active factors passing through and specific spaces to promote it.

"Ecosystem" The final aim is to build a integrated system, where people can be self-sufficient. It's a small city of industry. People live and work in it and the living part and the working part are promoted mutually.
Mixed "Ecosystem" According to the specific conditions of a city, there will be diverse ecosystems in the mega-urban area. They are able to allocate resources properly and bring mutual promotion among the cities.

Homogenization & Networked As the city develops, the resources are distributed equally. More balanced and efficient organization patterns are needed.
PHASE I (past)
PHASE II (present)
PHASE Ill (future)
Different types of stores spread in the whole city, which contributes to the specialization of a certain area.
Complexes containing various functions spread in different areas. This leads a more balance distribution of shopping destinations in a city.
The stores are divided by the bitplanes. Different bitplanes that are organized along the network have different functions. This phase reachs a most balance status.
Dual layers of nets overlap and form the shopping net. Rescources take charge of dealing the orders, dilivering and storing. Shops mainly interact with consumers providing examining, temporary storage and other after-sale service.

Double sides of a triangle Boundless & Bounded The boundless space, which gives a sense of infinite, is surrounded by the nature. The bounded space, which gives a sense of depression, is surrounded by the stone.
Soft & Tough Covered with water, this area is about peace and harmony. The dark tone and light in the corner tell the confession and redemption.
Upward & Downward The bottoms of the triangles give out the light. They are nailed into the water to memorize the history. The sharp tops of the triangles shoot out the light. They bring the light to the chapel but make people scrupulous. 30mm Stalinite
