Cork Portugal has the biggest cork oak forest and is by far the world’s biggest manufacturer of cork made products. To protect this treasure, Portugal was a pioneer in environmental legislation, the first agrarian laws dating from the early 13th century. The so-called Design Sustainability and Eco-Design have in products made of cork one of the most effective answers for environmental sustainability. The use of cork products is very significant from an ecological point of view. Being a renewable product, whenever it is used in consumer products the retention of carbon dioxide (CO2) increases.

The cork bark is periodically (every 9 years on average) extracted from a cork oak tree which enables the tree to produce between 250% to 400% more cork than it would if the cork was not extracted, thus increasing CO2 retention.

Important steps to extend the life of your Magnetic/Drywipe Board

Last but not least, for those looking for a normal performance board and a compromise between quality and price we specially developed the BI-Office BUSINESS boards. This product line comes with a special non Magnetic drywipe surface and a 5 year extended warranty. The surface has excellent visibility, it is smooth to write on and wipes off easily. For the initial cleaning, wipe your board with a clean cloth moistened with Bi-office cleanser-spray or use our Bi-office wet-tissue cleaners. Rinse with clean water and wipe dry with a cloth. This step is simple but very important.

Use only dry erase markers. NEVER use ballpoint pens and sharp objects as this will cause permanent damage. NEVER use an abrasive cleaner or glass cleaner on your drywipe board. This will remove the finish and decrease the erasability of your board. Water is not an effective cleaner because most dry erase markers are water resistant.

Regular cleaning should be done with a felt eraser. Wait until the ink is completly dry on the board and wipe it in a circular slow motion to loosen marker residue. THIS STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT. If some residue still subsides draw over the lines with a dryerase marker. If the stained area is large, spray Bi-office cleanser spray on the stain and wipe it clean.

Wash erasers with warm soap and water. Let the eraser dry completely before fluffing up the felt pad. Replace eraser when the pad is worn out.

What to use

If your board is used daily, the cleaning should be performed at least twice per week. More thorough cleaning may be required if ink is left on the board for more than 2 days.
