I hope the knowledge I will acquire in the United Kingdom will help me in the future to build a better world. A sustainable world, socially and environmentally harmonic.
personal information course skills
I am currently studying Architecture and Urbanism in Brazil, in the course’s 3rd year, and I am appreciating it a lot. I really enjoy spending my time designing and discussing architecture.

SPACE AND SHAPE 2
SPACE AND SHAPE 2 was about the process of creating a shape from nothing.
When the shape was good enought, the class was told to design that on a 3D modeler: the Rhinoceros 4.0. Particularly, I used some plug-ins to help the process, the "T-spline", "Grasshopper" and "Paneling Tools".
It was given a real place to put the project, so it changed a little while it was been made as an architectural object. I used a non-Newtonian fluid vibrating at a low frequency sound box and took pictures. Then I made the model in clay and sketched the shape. I started the design process inspired by the random shapes.

SPACE AND SHAPE 1 The final work in SPACE AND SHAPE 1 was to reread the installation "Grande Núcleo" by Hélio Oiticica, a brazilian artist. Each team designed their proposal, following some rules (size and colors allowed). Then two of them were chosen to be built. Mine was one of them.
General view
Section planes in each level
Hélio Oiticica, Grande Núcleo, 1960, Photo: César Oiticica Filho.
The design inspiration was a vortex. I used this reference to guide me. The model was supposed to look like a vortex in plan and tridimensional, like a hurricane.
Cutting plane to be sent to the wood store
The place to build it was set by the professors and half of the class helped to build each of the two model.

COMPUTER AIDED ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
COMPUTER AIDED ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN was about learning to design and represent architecture using BIM (building information modeling) softwares. The work is to take a project that exists and model it in BIM software (we used the ArchiCAD). Then we must represent it in several ways using the software. That includes plans, sections, 3D drawings, rendering, details and even material lists.
This project is the Stenio Lima House and its architect is the brazilian Neudson Braga. It's a typical modernist housing in Ceará-BR.

In countries with high social inequality it is very common the proliferation of informal housing, known as slums. To solve this issue, social programs aim at the construction of social housing to relocate these families.
