Today you will see the magic of Stone Town. Start your day at the community owned spice farm that will test your knowledge of spices, and give you the opportunity to purchase community produced soaps, lotions and of course, spices. After a midday break take a closer look at historical Stone Town, the weaving alleys, local markets and unique architecture. In the evening watch the sun sink into the blue waters of the Indian Ocean whilst sailing the coastline of Zanzibar on a traditional Dhow, sipping on a glass of chilled wine.

Travel to central Zanzibar to visit community wildlife programs around Jozani Forest. Take a guided stroll through the forest and learn about the different medicinal plants. Watch the rare Red Colobus Monkey leap between the treetops only inches away. Walk through ancient mangroves and visit the community Mnarani Turtle and Butterfly Projects. Finish your evening at the waterfront night market, Forodhani Gardens, for a taste of the freshest seafood and sugar cane juice with ginger and lime!

Prison Island was once the quarantine station for the slaves leaving Zanzibar. Today the island’s lush forest is home to the Giant Aldebran Tortoise which was a gift from the King of The Seychelles in the late 19th century; and various bird, bat and butterfly species. Once you return from the island you will travel to the pristine beaches of Ras Nungwi in the north.

Ras Nungwi beach is famous for it’s white sands and crystal clear blue waters. There are a variety of restaurants and beach side bars offering freshly caught seafood and a cocktail or two.

Spend your day swimming, snorkelling or just relaxing with a good book. If you feel like something a little more lively, Ras Nungwi beach is also home to various watersports sea kyaking, scuba diving and para-sailing are all available through Zanzibar Water Sports.

After your energizing or relaxing time on the beaches of northern Zanzibar you will be transferred to Stone Town sea or air ports and onto other adventures.
