Comparison: Mahindra KUV 100 & Maruti Suzuki Ignis Features Mahindra KUV100 was first ever mini compact SUV from Mahindra & Mahindra company launched in January 2016. Maruti Suzuki Ignis kickstarted its journey in 2017 attracting everyone by its unconventional looks. Both cars are super compact SUVs competing against each other at a similar price point. However, Ignis comes under a tad premium range of Maruti cars. We will be drawing a comparison in this article on both the vehicles regarding their features and specifications, letting you decide which one to choose. Features: The Maruti Suzuki ignis features a butch look, giving out the funky vibes. The car opted for boxy appeal and looked fresher and different to the eyes. The hatchback also features like 15-inch black alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps, split tail lamps and even those three gill-like bumps at the rear. Surrounding this arrangement of headlights is a Ushaped cluster of LED daytime running lights. The Mahindra KUV100 stands tall and has a high bonnet. The sleek headlamps with built in DRLs (Daytime Running Lamp) and the narrow grille gives it a premium appearance, and the looks as if the headlights extend right up to the windscreen, ending with a thick groove on the front door. The twelve spoke alloy wheels also compliment the looks of the vehicle. Specifications: For many of us, mileage acts as the deciding factor while buying a car. However, Ignis has some right segments when it comes to mileage. 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3litre diesel engines power the vehicle. The petrol engine in the Ignis creates a maximum of 81.8 BHP while the diesel engine develops 73.8 BHP. The Ignis provides a maximum of 20.89 km/l for petrol and 26.8 km/l for diesel. These Maruti ignis specifications are fuel efficient, and one of the reasons to choose the car.


Introduction of Mahindra KUV100 brings the company's all-new engine family mFALCON. The KUV100 gets a 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines both of which are 3cylinder. The petrol engine produces 82bhp and 114Nm in the 1.2-litre mFALCON G80. The 1.2-litre mFALCON D75 diesel yields 77bhp and 190Nm. The new mini compact SUV might be launched with two engine transmission options - a 5-speed manual and an automated manual transmission. Price: The Mahindra KUV100 is priced between Rs 520,000 to Rs 820,000 (on-road) and is a solid good drive and fuel efficient. According to an authorised dealer, Maruti Suzuki ignis price in Delhi ranges between Rs 650,000 and Rs 900,000. This micro SUV is a significant product from Maruti as it will be entering a new segment altogether.
