IKMC As part of its Knowledge Network building activities, IKP Knowledge Park organises the International Knowledge Millennium Conference, IKMC, once every two years on a topic of global relevance in technology innovation to deliberate on global trends, and opportunities for India in that area, with key stakeholders and experts.With a panel of speakers that includes luminaries in various fields, the delegate list is made up of entrepreneurs, scientists and policy makers from all over the world. Each of the IKMC themes closely echoes the focus areas of IKP, thus helping IKP in validating and formulating its strategy for future growth as a Science Park. From the year 2011, it was decided to hold the Conference every year.
PA S T P R O G R A M S IKMC2002 Held in November, 2002, it focused on "Drug Discovery and Healthcare in the Knowledge Economy: India's Opportunities."
IKMC2004 Organised between October 31 - November 2, 2004, the Conference and focused on "Biotechnology in India Building Bridge between Science & Industry."
IKMC2006 The Conference was held on December 19 & 20, 2006 at Hyderabad and focused on "Improving Public Health in India: Need for Innovative Solutions in Healthcare Delivery."
IKMC2009 It was organised on November 9 & 10, 2009 at Hyderabad and focused on "Productization to Improve Healthcare Access and Reach."
IKMC2011 The Conference, organised on November 16 & 17, 2011 at HICC, Hyderabad, showcased innovative SMEs in Healthcare, Energy & Mobile platforms looking for partnership and market access.
IKP KNOWLEDGE PARK IKP Knowledge Park (IKP), a not-for-profit, 200-acre wet lab research park near Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh, India has been promoting business-driven R&D for over a decade now. The Park has developed a thriving ecosystem of innovation with 65 R&Dbased companies from six countries. 18 companies have successfully graduated from IKP and currently, there are 47 companies working in various areas of Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology. IKP has come a long way from being a shared infrastructure provider to a full-fledged science & technology park and incubator. The model is constantly evolving to engage meaningfully with a growing community of innovative entrepreneurs and corporate, R&D institutions from around the globe. While IKP currently focuses on life sciences, chemistry and cleantech, innovation in any area of science is encouraged.
