We can see the ‘Labour’ element of the poster with a slight ripped edge, but what is interesting is the similarly ripped ‘Toryism doesn’t work’ section feels like it was taken directly from the Conservatives 1955 posters, in which they also used a stencil style font, we can debate the use of hijacking a style to subvert the message and aesthetic of the other party, but it can also link to ideas of political activism, ‘DIY’ banners and personal activism, to counter the ideas of a big political force.
