Parade: The artist Feggy Min from Zurich created the artwork for the occasion.

The 33-year-old is a passionate illustrator with a worldwide recognition. Zurich has a special place in her artist heart as she discloses in her colorful and gaudy work for the Techno celebration.

Als erstes grosses Projekt in der Schweiz setzt dieses Artwork einen Meilenstein in Feggy Mins Kunstkarriere. Was in der Kindheit mit Basteln und dem Gestalten von Cartoons begann, führte nach etlichen realitätstreuen Portraitzeichnungen zum Verlangen, eine eigene Welt zu gestalten: «In meiner Welt leben alle Cartoons, Anime-Charaktere, Musiker, die wir gerne haben, und alle anderen Wesen zusammen. In meiner Welt soll man sich willkommen und wohl fühlen - meine Kunst soll an unbeschwerte Kindheitsmomente erinnern», verrät uns Feggy im Gespräch.

Zur diesjährigen Demonstration für Liebe und Freiheit hat Feggy Min im Homestudio, inmitten ihrer Anime-Sammlung, die allerbuntesten Stifte und Markers ausgepackt. Bleistiftüberbleibsel machen der Künstlerin nichts aus, man darf den Prozess an ihrem Werk erkennen. Während der Kreation lässt sie sich selber spontan überraschen und ruft nach jahrelanger Erfahrung ganz automatisch neue Kreaturen ins Leben. Wer genau hinsieht, erkennt neben dem actiongeladenen Geschehen auch Zürichs Stadtbild in den diesjährigen Street-Parade-Visuals. Feggy Mins rohe Fantasie und Emotionen widerspiegeln sich direkt in der Kunst, weswegen auch ab und an düsterere Anfertigungen entstehen.

Als kontrastreiche Person kann sie sich so in jeder Gemütslage ausdrücken. Die Street Parade bezeichnet Feggy als willkommen heissenden Ort der Begegnung. «Wenigstens an diesem auserwählten Tag können wir alle ungezwungen wir selbst sein. Solche Events sind wichtig, damit wir uns hoffentlich in Zukunft auch in allen anderen Kontexten wohl fühlen können.»

As her first large project in Switzerland, this artwork is a milestone in Feggy Min’s career. What had started in her childhood with handicrafts and the design of cartoons resulted – after a lot of portrait drawings close to reality – in the desire to create her own world: «In my world, all cartoons, anime characters, musicians we like and all other creatures are living together. In my world, everybody wants to feel well and welcome; my art is to remind us of carefree childhood memories», Feggy tells us in our talk.

For this year’s demonstration for love and freedom, Feggy Min unpacked, in her home studio, her most colorful pens and markers in the middle of her anime collection. The artist has nothing against remnants of pencils; people may detect the process in her work. During her creation, she can be spontaneously surprised; and after many years of experience, she will bring to life new creatures quite automatically. Looking very closely, one can detect – in addition to the action-loaded events –

Zurich’s town view in this year’s Street-Parade-visuals. Feggy Min’s raw phantasy and emotions are directly reflected in her art, which is why there are also gloomy works.

As a person rich in contrast, she can thus express herself in any mood. For Feggy, the Street Parade is a welcome meeting place. «At least on this selected day, we can all be casual and informal, i.e. we can be ourselves. Such events are important so that we will also be able to feel well in all other contexts in the future.»

Einsteigen, hinsetzen, vorfreuen: Über 100 Nacht- und Extrazüge sorgen am Tag und in der Nacht dafür, dass du schnell, unkompliziert und ökologisch an die Street Parade, ihre Afterpartys und zurück nach Hause gelangst.

Mit dem City-Ticket der SBB ist die Zugfahrt zum Zürich HB und zurück inbegriffen. Auch sämtliche Fahrten im ZVV-Netz (Tram, Bus, S-Bahn) innerhalb der Stadtzone 110 sind inklusive. Das City-Ticket ist ein Kalendertag bis um 5 Uhr morgens vom Folgetag gültig. Ein Nachtzuschlag muss nicht mehr länger gelöst werden.

Erhältlich ist das City-Ticket online auf sbb.ch, an den meisten Billetautomaten der SBB sowie an Billetschaltern im Bahnhof.

Von der Anreise im Auto raten wir dringend ab. Ums Seebecken rollen an diesem Tag einzig die Love Mobiles, weshalb es keine Parkplätze gibt und wir lange Staus vermeiden wollen.

The SBB city ticket includes the train ride to Zurich’s main train station and back again. Also, all rides within the Zurich Transportation Network (ZVV) – streetcar, bus, suburban train – within the 110 city zone are inclusive. The city ticket is valid for one calendar day until 5 o’clock in the morning of the following day. It is no longer necessary to buy a night surcharge.

The city ticket is available online at sbb.ch, at most of the SBB ticket automats, as well as at the ticket counters in the train station.

We strongly advise against traveling by car. On the day of the Street Parade, love mobiles will be the only means of transportation which is why there are no parking spaces because we want to prevent any extended traffic jams.
