Catch full throttle thrills as you race along on a wave runner. And let the kids loose to bump, bounce and roll around a colossal Aqua Park with slides and floating trampolines.
EXPLORE LABADEE Soar on the Caribbean’s longest overwater zip line, or plunge down the twisting Dragon’s Tail Coaster. Race across the surface of the sea, or dangle your feet high above it on a parasail. I M P O RTA N T I N FO R M AT I O N The following terms and conditions form the basis of your contract with RCL Cruises Ltd. (RCL). In these terms and conditions “you” and “your” shall refer to all persons named in a booking. Terms and conditions may be changed at short notice. Current traveling conditions can be found on our websites RoyalCaribbean.fi or RoyalCaribbean.com 1. What’s the dress-code onboard? It’s easy to plan what to wear on the cruise. You need casual day wear during the day and something a little more formal for the evening. Evening wear: Casual shirt and pants for men, trousers and a top or skirt and blouse for women. Smart wear: Dress or pant suit for women, leisure/suit jacket for men. Formal: cocktail or evening dress for women, suit and tie or tuxedo for men. We recommend that you pack a small bag/hand luggage with everything you need when you first arrive onboard as it can take a few hours before the luggage is delivered to your stateroom (delivery of baggage begins once the ship has set sail)..
2. Tickets and travel documents. Tickets will be issued once final payment has been received, approx. three weeks before departure. Please be aware that baggage labels will be distributed at the port on departure, or in the hotel, if an overnight stay has been booked through Royal Caribbean for the night prior to departure.
3. When can I board? The boarding time for the cruise is specified on your ticket. If you are not onboard the ship 90 minutes before the planned departure time, we will assume that you will not be joining the cruise. Your booking will then be considered canceled and you will not be entitled to a refund of the purchase amount beyond charges. Contact Royal Caribbean for details of the amount that will be refunded.
4. How do I check in? If you have used the online check-in available on our websites, you can bring the print-out of the signed “SetSail Pass” as well as your ID documents. Go to the checkin area of the cruise terminal where your documents will be inspected and you will be issued a Sea Pass. This is used both as an ID card and as a keycard to your stateroom. The card is also used for purchasing items onboard and shows the deck and table number reserved for your meals in the main restaurant. Table numbers will not be shown if you have chosen “My Time Dining”. If you have not checked in online, bring your passport and all cruise documents to the counter in the cruise terminal where our representatives will check you in and issue your Sea Pass card for embarkation. To make embarkation as quick and easy as possible, we recommend that you check in online at royalcaribbean.com by navigating to ”Already booked” and “Online check-in”. This should be done well in advance of departure, the last opportunity to check-in online will take place four days before the ship’s departure date.
5. How do I make purchases onboard? The currency onboard is USD. All our ships feature a cash-free system – Sea Pass. A Sea Pass account will be set up in your name which must be guaranteed with an approved credit card or cash deposit (VISA, MasterCard, Diners and American Express are accepted at the time of printing). Everyone traveling on the cruise will receive a Sea Pass and this is automatically charged when making a purchase onboard. On the final day of the cruise, an itemized statement of your account will be delivered to your stateroom so that you may check the amounts yourself. Individual transactions made on the final evening might not appear on the final statement. However they will be added to the final settlement. Please note that the ship operates its own exchange rate which may deviate from the exchange rate your own bank utilizes. Certain areas onboard do not use the cash-free system (e.g. the casino). Instead, in these areas you must pay cash in USD. All our ships have an ATM onboard (ATM withdrawals are charged at USD 5.00 per withdrawal). Please note that in certain cases, authorizations may be placed on the payment card which is linked to your current account onboard the ship. These authorizations are in force to ensure the validity of the card. When the final calculation of your expenditure onboard has been paid, Royal Caribbean will immediately remove these authorizations. Beyond that, each individual card company may remove the authorizations in their system. This can take between 7 and 14 working days and Royal Caribbean is unable to actuate a shorter duration. Once the card company has canceled the restricted amount, you will immediately have access to your money once more. Restrictions may also occur when purchasing the actual cruise through Royal Caribbean.
6. What about electrical equipment and laundry? The voltage onboard is 110/220 V. You must bring any necessary adaptors. Hair dryers are provided in all staterooms, laundry, cleaning and pressing is available for a fee. Ask the stateroom attendant for more information and prices. It is not necessary to carry electrical equipment in your hand luggage. You may pack these items in your check-in baggage.

The minimum age for babysitting in a stateroom is 12 months. All children who join the Adventure Ocean club must be at least three years of age and be potty-trained/out of diapers. In the clubs for the youngest children, Aqua Babies (6 to 18 months) and Aqua Tots (18 months to 3 years), parents must be present during the activities. Since the ships comply with the United States Public Health Department Policy (USPH), babies still in diapers cannot use the swimming pool/whirlpools, mini-soccer pitch, slides or SPA onboard. The prohibition also applies to swimming diapers and these may not be worn even if the parent/guardian is present. However alternatives for children still in diapers have been introduced on selected ships (“Baby Splash Zone” – Harmony of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas, Independence of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas) and Royal Caribbean is working to offer more activities that are suitable for children still in diapers. Contact us for more information.
9. How and when can I dine onboard? All meals onboard are included in the price. Food is available 24 hours a day. The main restaurant has two sittings for dinner. Please indicate when booking whether you would prefer sitting 1 or 2. “My Time Dining” is a system whereby you can decide for yourself when you want to eat. Please enquire for further information. We cannot guarantee that all enquiries can be accommodated but we promise to do our best. Times will vary according to the itinerary. The main restaurant’s regular meal times are as follows: Breakfast: Open seating 07:30 – 11:00 Lunch: Open seating 12:00 – 13:30 Dinner: Two seatings. The room service menu is available 24 hrs a day (a small supplement will be charged for room service orders placed between 00:00 and 05:00). Guests staying in suites may request a complete menu for each meal to be served in the suite. You must pay a cover charge of USD 5-45 to eat in specialty restaurants. If you have special dietary requirements or allergies, please indicate these when booking the cruise or no later than 45 days prior to departure. We will do what we can to accommodate your needs. Regrettably however, we cannot accommodate vegan or lactose-vegetarian diets. Products purchased from Ben & Jerry’s, Lattetudes, Starbucks and similar will have their own prices and are therefore not included in the price of the cruise.
10. What about tips/service charges onboard?
20. Which passport and visa requirements apply to my vacation?
On all our ships please tip the restaurant and stateroom personnel for good service and personal attention. In the vast majority of cases, tips will automatically be added to the cruise price when booking. If you wish to pay tips in cash onboard, please indicate this when booking. Tips must be paid in US dollars (approx. 13.50 EUR per person per day, approx. 16.50 EUR per person per day for guests staying in a suite). All beverages and beauty treatments purchased onboard are subject to a 15% service charge which is charged to your Sea Pass account.
Contact the relevant embassies, your travel agency or Royal Caribbean well before departure for information on which passport and visa requirements apply in the countries you will be visiting during the cruise. All passengers must have a valid passport regardless of which cruise they choose with Royal Caribbean. This also applies to our cruises which depart from Nordic Countries. Passports must be valid for at least six months after the journey has ended. Students domiciled in the US must be able to produce valid documents, showing that they are students at an American educational institution. Documents must be originals (I-20 or DS-2019-form). On April 2, 2004 the American authorities declared that from September 30, 2004, they want to expand the US-VISIT program’s arrival and departure procedures concerning all travelers and also for those traveling under the visa-free program Visa Waiver Programme (VWP). This means that travelers arriving in the US will be digitally photographed and will have their fingerprints digitally scanned. From January 12, 2009 residents of any country that is a member of the US’ Visa Waiver Program must register themselves electronically before departure. Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is the name of the visa program’s new system. Contact Royal Caribbean, your travel agency or the American embassy for more information. NB! This information may change therefore you are responsible for checking that the information still applies prior to departure. Passengers require a visa for travel to Russia and this may take several weeks to process. In general, Royal Caribbean International does not have a visa service but since you will only be visiting Russia as part of an excursion which Royal Caribbean International is organizing, you do not need a visa. However if you wish to conduct a sightseeing tour on your own, you must obtain a visa directly from the Russian embassy. The name on your ticket must be identical to the one in your passport. Otherwise you may be refused entry onto the flight/cruise. We refuse to take any responsibility whatsoever if you are refused entry onto a flight or an excursion in a country or face other difficulties or fees as a result of your passport not being approved or missing visa(s). Individual port authorities may sometimes demand that you show some form of photo ID when you leave the ship during the cruise. To avoid any problems, we recommend that you carry a copy of your passport with you during the journey, in addition to your actual passport, and take the copy with you each time you leave the ship.
11. What happens if I get sick onboard? The onboard health service is manned by a qualified doctor and at least one nurse. You must pay for your own health services, therefore it is recommended that you take out sufficient health/travel insurance. We recommend that passengers keep all receipts safe as the insurance companies may require the necessary documentation in the event of an insurance claim. Please note that the health service is regulated by United States law meaning that the price for consultation with a doctor, examination, medication and equipments used, etc., will be set accordingly. Because of this, the prices cannot be compared with those you are accustomed to at home. The health service offers antiseasickness tablets, if required.
12. What is your smoking policy? Smoking is prohibited in most areas of our ships however there are designated areas on the ship where smoking is permitted. Smoking is prohibited in all theatres and restaurants. Cigar and pipe smoking is only permitted on the outer decks. Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom nor any stateroom balcony. This applies to all stateroom categories onboard. If a guest is in violation of this stateroom policy, a cleaning fee of $250 USD will be applied to their SeaPass® account and may be subject to further action pursuant to the “Consequences Section” of the Guest Conduct Policy. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee allergy-free staterooms.
13. What about alcoholic drinks? Alcoholic drinks can be bought in all bars and restaurants onboard. Age limit is 21 years on sailings from North America and 18 years on sailings from South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. If you purchase alcoholic drinks during the cruise from the ship or destinations, these will be stored and delivered to your stateroom on the final evening of the cruise. One bottle of wine per person is permitted from the departure port.
14. How do the land excursions work? To get the most enjoyment possible out of stays on land, we recommend that you choose excursions planned by our travel experts. Excursions can be reserved in advance at RoyalCaribbean.fi. The excursions must be reserved no later than four working days prior to departure. You can also reserve excursions onboard provided that places are available on your desired excursion. Please note that the stated times of excursions may change and that they may be canceled if there are not enough participants.
15. How do I check out? Address labels for your travel baggage will be delivered during the last few days onboard. Write your name, home address and any details about your flight clearly on each label. Pack your suitcases and travel bags and leave them outside your stateroom before the specified time on the last evening of the cruise. Fragile, important and valuable items as well as any medication must be packed in your hand luggage.
16. Air travel after the cruise If air travel is not arranged by Royal Caribbean, you are responsible for ensuring you have ample time between disembarkation from the ship and check-in for your homeward flight. If air travel is arranged by Royal Caribbean and in the event of you missing your flight due to Royal Caribbean, you must contact our representative at the airport. If a representative is not present, call (+1) 800 256 6649 (the number also appears in your travel documents). Any changes to your airline ticket must be made in co-operation with Royal Caribbean (tickets bought by yourself will not be refunded).
17. Can I be contacted onboard? It is possible to call the ship by telephone on +1 732 335 3285. Please ensure that you have an American Express or MasterCard at hand to pay for the phone call. Calls are charged at USD 7.95 per minute in addition to any extra costs your telephone operator may charge for such calls. The price of this service may change without notice. The ships also have internet cafés which allow guests to send and receive e-mails. The costs are charged to your Sea Pass account and you must have a personal e-mail address in order to use this service.
18. Pricings of our cruises The prices in this brochure are the guideline prices and “from prices”, i.e. the lowest price available on a specific sailing date in low season in the most reasonably priced stateroom category. For exact prices, contact our reservation department by calling +358 20 386 386, your travel agency or at RoyalCaribbean.fi or RoyalCaribbean.com. Prices may vary depending on supply and demand. In some cases this involves the price of a cruise being reduced after your journey has been confirmed and paid for. In such cases, passengers may change their reservations to a lower price with an amendment fee of EUR 30 per person, provided that this is done no later than 42 days prior to departure. Any changes less than 42 days prior to departure will be processed in accordance with valid cancellation rules (see item 7, Special conditions). Taxes and charges governed by authorities may change at short notice in which case Royal Caribbean reserves the right to amend the agreed price if such changes should occur.
19. Do I need travel insurance?
Royal Caribbean strongly recommends that all passengers take out adequate insurance cover. Contact your insurance company for further information on which insurance is recommended.
21. What about children traveling without a parent or guardian, or children with a different surname than their parent or guardian? If the child travels with a parent/guardian and has a different surname, children’s official certificate must be shown at the check-in. Children under 18 traveling with Adults who are not their parent/guardian are obligated to show the child’s passport (and any visa) as well as a copy of the passports of both parents, a signed confirmation from at least one of the child’s parents/ guardians that the child has permission to travel with their traveling companion and child’s official certificate. A letter of confirmation in English (notarization) must be written by a professional such as an attorney, doctor or Justice of Peace and the confirmation letter must be delivered upon check-in. Permission must also include confirmation that medical treatment may be given if a situation should arise and a doctor deems that such treatment must be performed immediately. NB! These rules also apply when the child is traveling with relatives or friends. The document must be in English and brought to the port on the date of departure.
22. Are there any offi cial requirements for health conditions? Visit your regular doctor for advice and information on the latest health requirements for all destinations mentioned in this brochure. You are responsible for ensuring that your own vaccination documents are in order. If you are pregnant, you may travel on cruises up until week 23 of your pregnancy. Unfortunately you may not travel on cruises if you have passed week 24 of your pregnancy. NB! All pregnant women must produce a medical report upon check-in, written in English, in which the doctor states how long into your pregnancy you are, that you are healthy and that the pregnancy is not high-risk.
23. Guests with special needs You must be medically and physically fit to travel and ensure that the journey does not pose a danger to yourself or others. When booking (or as soon as possible afterwards, if conditions arise after booking), you must inform the travel agency in writing of any medical or physical conditions which may require treatment during the course of the cruise or which may affect the cruise (including use of services or facilities). We kindly ask you to provide as much information as possible. Some of our ships have staterooms which have been specially adapted for guests with disabilities. The actual deck layouts, which can be found on our websites, have an overview of these. Guests with wheelchairs must bring their own wheelchair and may not be able to access everywhere onboard. Certain circumstances (such as using the tender boats to travel ashore) may prevent wheelchair users from being able to disembark in ports of call with primitive access. Guests with disabilities or medical illnesses must be able to manage by themselves or travel with someone who can provide all the necessary assistance they require. We reserve the right to refuse a person travel if it is our opinion that that person is not physically or mentally fit to travel or may require more care than the traveling companion or we can sufficiently provide.
24. Deck layout and stateroom information? This brochure shows the primary itineraries and includes information about life onboard. You can obtain more detailed information on our staterooms, categories of stateroom etc. by contacting us, your local travel agency or our websites RoyalCaribbean.fi or RoyalCaribbean.com.
25. Can I be refused embarkation? The ship’s crew may decide to refuse embarkation on an individual basis. This may occur in instances which present a danger to your own safety and/or the safety of others. Reasons for this may include highly-infectious diseases, inappropriate conduct, missing travel documents and other reasons which make it irresponsible to allow you to travel. You must be both mentally and physically fit to travel on our cruises. In addition, the ships have rules of conduct onboard as well as security and health rules which you must obey. In the event of breaching these regulations, the ship’s crew may ask you and your travel companion(s) to leave the ship at the next port of call. You will be responsible for bearing the extra cost this will involve. You can read more on our Guest Conduct Policy at www. RoyalCaribbean.fi or RoyalCaribbean.com, in the Guest Services Directory in your stateroom onboard the ship or by enquiring at the Guest Relations Desk.

Certain activities charge an additional fee. Unless otherwise agreed, the following is not included in the price: Flights to and from the travel destination, excursions and personal expenses (e.g. drinks, laundry, health and beauty treatments, telephone conversations, etc.), stays in hotels and meals on land, transport (unless otherwise specified), travel insurance, and anything else which is not explicitly specified as being included in the price.

6. Are there age restrictions for traveling on cruises? Babies must be at least six months to travel. For certain itineraries such as transatlantic, Hawaii and certain other sailings, babies must be at least 12 months to travel. The same applies if the itinerary involves three or more consecutive days at sea. Age is calculated from the first day of the cruise. Royal Caribbean International’s minimum age to sail unaccompanied on sailings originating in North America is twenty-one (21). The minimum age to sail unaccompanied on sailings from South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand is eighteen (18). For voyages originating in North America, no Guest younger than the age 21 will be assigned to a stateroom unless accompanied in the same stateroom by an adult 21 years old or older. A guest’s age is established upon the first date of sailing. All persons under 18 at the beginning of the journey and who are not accompanied by at least one parent/guardian will only receive permission to board the ship and complete the cruise if they are accompanied by at least one person aged 21 or over in the same stateroom and who have received authorization from at least one of the minor’s parents/guardians to accompany the minor (see item 21 under Important information). For voyages originating in other destinations, no Guest younger than the age 18 will be assigned to a stateroom unless accompanied in the same stateroom by an adult 18 years old or older. Please note, Proof of such authorization must be submitted in the form of a letter signed by at least one of the parents/guardians for each of the minors present on the cruise and must be presented at the check-in. If written authorization cannot be produced, the minor(s) will not receive permission to board the ship or complete the cruise. We are not responsible and provide no compensation for any costs, fees or losses which may be charged to the minor(s), those paying for the cruise (if not the minor), or other persons traveling with the minor who decide(s) not to complete the cruise when written authorization, as described above, cannot be produced. 7. What are the rules for cancellation? If you or any of your travel companions are unable to travel, you must immediately inform us or your travel agency. The cruise will be canceled from the date we actually receive notice of cancellation. The following rules apply: Cancellation charge per person for the actual cruise 48 hours or less before departure: 100% of the cruise price* Between 48 hours and 13 days before departure: 50% of the cruise price* Between 14 and 29 days before departure: Deposit per person (EUR 100)* 30 days or more before departure: EUR 50 per person* *Cancellation protection is included for Finland and Baltic Countries.
NOTE 1: If one of the guests in a stateroom cancels and the other guest chooses to remain alone, a fee may be charged for a single-person stateroom. This also applies when one or more people cancel a stateroom designed to accommodate multiple people or when canceling parts of the travel arrangement (air travel, hotel) included in a “package deal”. The person cancelling will be subject to regular cancellation rules. NOTE 2: The beginning of the journey is calculated from the first element booked. For example if flights are booked to the port of departure through Royal Caribbean, the cruise will be determined to start from departure of the flight.
8. Do I need cancellation protection? Cancellation protection is included in Finland and Baltic Countries. With cancellation protection, you can cancel your cruise in the event of illness at a cost of EUR 30 per person. This is conditional on a valid medical report being sent to RCL. The cancellation protection must be paid during confirmation in order to be valid and will not be refunded in the event of a cancellation. Royal Caribbean’s cancellation protection applies if you cancel due to illness/injury or if a member of your immediate family (mother, father, brother/sister, children or grandparents) or a person/persons in the same stateroom is/are taken seriously ill/die (all of them must have cancellation protection). Please be aware that rules under item 7, NOTE 1 also apply for those with cancellation protection. After confirming the cruise, it is not possible to add or remove cancellation protection. If you produce a medical report upon cancellation in which your doctor advises you against traveling at the current time, you will be repaid the correct amount as soon as Royal Caribbean has approved the medical report.
9. Can I change my booking once it has been confirmed?
13. Circumstances which are completely outside our control?
Yes, provided that there is sufficient availability in the stateroom category/ cruise you wish to change to. Changes which involve a different departure date, ship, type of stateroom or length of cruise may be made up until 42 days prior to departure with an administration fee of EUR 30 per person. If similar changes are made less than 42 days until departure, the change is considered a cancellation and is then treated as a new booking (see item 7 cancellation rules). Changing the name of cruise guests costs EUR 30 per person up until four days before departure. If the change includes flights, special conditions will apply. Contact us for more information.
Apart from what is explicitly specified in these conditions, we accept no liability whatsoever, or pay compensation where your cruise or a service which we have promised to arrange cannot be provided, either partly or in whole, as a result of conditions which are completely outside our control (“force majeure”). By conditions which are completely outside our control, we mean events which neither we not the supplier of the actual service could have predicted or avoided, even after taking all reasonable care. Such events may include war or threat of war, terrorism or the threat of terrorism, riots or civil unrest, strikes, natural catastrophes or nuclear catastrophes, fire, adverse weather conditions, health risks, epidemics and all similar circumstances which are outside our control.
10. What information must I supply and why? From time to time we may be required to pass on to U.S. Immigration Authorities, airlines and/or possibly other authorized bodies certain personal information. You must provide us with specific information at the time of booking your cruise or no later than 3 days prior to your departure, whichever is the later. This information includes certain personal information, passport, emergency contact and insurance details. We strongly recommend you visit our website at RoyalCaribbean.fi or RoyalCaribbean.com and submit these details through online check-in. You will need to have your booking ID and date of sailing to hand. Providing this information online prior to your cruise will significantly speed up your check-in process and you will be able to board the ship sooner and avoid delays and queues at the cruise terminal. If you have not completed online check-in, you will be required to complete this process at the pier two hours prior to the published sailing time. If you are unable to complete the online check-in process, this may be due to an outstanding balance on your booking. If you have booked via a travel agent, please speak to your travel agent so that the funds can be transferred to us to complete your online check-in. If you do not have access to the Internet, please contact us or your travel agent. They will advise you on how this information can be provided or verified. This will include at least some of the information you provide to us. If you fail to supply the details requested, both fully and accurately, we are entitled to refuse your booking or, if you fail to provide them at a later date you may not be permitted to board your cruise ship and/or outward and/or return flight. We will not accept any liability in this situation and we will not pay you any compensation or make any refunds. You will be responsible for your onward/ return travel arrangements. If failure to have this information results in fines, surcharges or other financial penalty being imposed on us, you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly. Please note: all guests must be checked-in and onboard the ship no later than 90 minutes prior to the published sailing time or they will not be permitted to sail. Passengers arriving in the U.S. will have a digital photograph taken, and have electronic finger prints taken. If you would like further information, please ask at the time of booking or contact the U.S. Embassy. System For Travel Authorization (ESTA) is an automated system used to determine the eligibility of visitors to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) and whether such travel poses any law enforcement or security risk. To apply for authorization to travel to the United States under the VWP, traveler will log on to the ESTA web-based system and complete an application online providing the biographical and eligibility information required on the paper I-94W form. To qualify for the ESTA authorization process, please log on to the ESTA website at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov. The airlines will be ensuring that the ESTA information has been completed at check-in. For cruise check-in, our guests will need to bring a printed copy of their ESTA receipt and present this at the pier when checking in for a cruise that will call/finish at any U.S. port. Please note that we cannot accept any responsibility if ESTA applications are rejected by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS.) Any rejected ESTA applications will need to be referred to the Embassy of the United States to apply for a visa to travel to the United States.
11. What are your procedures for complaints and disputes?
14. What other conditions apply to the vacation? Airlines, hotels and our other suppliers have their own conditions which apply to your vacation. Some of these conditions limit or remove the liability of airlines or other suppliers, often in relation to international conventions.
15. Travel guarantee? Royal Caribbean is a member of the Norwegian Travel Guarantee Fund. This means that your money will be refunded and any guaranteed transport home if the vacation has already begun and we were not capable of offering you the vacation you have received confirmation of due to insolvency. Royal Caribbean has arranged a bank guarantee for all Nordic/Baltic passengers. The telephone number of the Norwegian Travel Guarantee Fund is (+47) 51 85 99 40 and its address is: PO Box 227 Sentrum, N-4001 Stavanger, Norway.
16. How accurate are the information and prices listed in the brochure? Please be aware that the information and prices featured in this brochure may change before you book your vacation. Regrettably, printing errors may occasionally occur, even though we do our best to ensure that the brochure and prices are correct at the time of printing. See also our websites RoyalCaribbean.fi or RoyalCaribbean.com for the most recent information. It is important to check all details of your chosen vacation with your travel agency at the time of booking.
17. What am I liable for? You must make sure that you have updated travel regulations and current prices when you book your vacation. We cannot accept liability for any faults or inaccurate information as a result of inaccurate brochures or travel regulations. You are responsible for ensuring that you and your travel companion(s) have all the necessary documents including passports, visas and other travel documents. The individual passenger (parent/guardian if the passenger is a minor) is liable for and must pay compensation for any damage the passenger may cause to the ship or its fittings, equipment or property with intent, carelessness or negligence.
18. What is Royal Caribbean’s limitation of liability? Royal Caribbean’s liability does not extend beyond the ship. Passengers may not hold Royal Caribbean liable for loss of or damage to luggage or property, personal injury or death and for losses due to delays which arise from the activities, lack of activities, omission or failure or independent sub-suppliers such as airlines, hotels, excursion organizers, restaurant proprietors, transport companies or other suppliers of services or facilities. Everything arranged for passengers by independent suppliers is only undertaken with regard to the passenger and is performed at the passenger’s own risk. The following terms and conditions for package tours have been drawn up by the former Norwegian Travel Industry Association (DNR) in cooperation with the Norwegian Consumer Ombudsman (CO). The terms and conditions which are applicable to package tours are defined in sections 1-2 of the Norwegian Law on Package Tours drawn up on August 25, 1995. © 2016 Royal Caribbean International All Rights Reserved.
If you feel that we have not fulfilled our agreement, you must notify us or your travel agency as soon as possible. Inform the ship’s crew if any faults or shortcomings are present after embarkation. If you fail to notify of a fault or shortcoming whilst onboard, you forfeit your right to complain. You must always send a written complaint to us, which we must receive no later than one month after returning home unless exceptional circumstances dictate otherwise. Royal Caribbean will then process the complaint and will respond in writing. We cannot accept complaints that are submitted on behalf of others. The complaint must be in writing and signed by at least one of the passengers included in the same booking. Complaints should be sent by e-mail to custservice.nordic@rccl.com.
12. What happens if there is a delay, change in price or itinerary? Unfortunately we cannot always guarantee to call at all the advertised ports or follow every section of the itinerary advertised. We and the ship’s captain reserve the right to cancel calling at ports, call at different ports, deviate from the advertised itinerary or change to another ship or port. Neither are we liable for failure to meet the arrival and departure times to the ports specifi ed in this brochure. Changes to itineraries are usually made in the interest and safety of the guests and no compensation will be awarded for such changes. Please be aware that the information and prices featured in this brochure may change before you book your vacation. You are responsible for checking all details of your chosen vacation with us or your travel agency when you book. In the event of flights being canceled, Royal Caribbean reserves the right to re-book a different itinerary and airline. This only applies if you have booked flights through Royal Caribbean.
