On behalf of the faculty and staff, welcome to Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC)! We’re excited you have chosen the oldest, public two-year college in Minnesota as your higher education provider. Whether you’re a new student just starting out, or a returning student working toward achieving your educational goals, we’re here for you.

Within this handbook, you will find key policies and other valuable information that will help you navigate your way around our College. As a student, you are responsible for being familiar with, and adhering to, these policies/procedures. Please bookmark this student handbook and use it as an ongoing resource.

This Student Handbook is a general bulletin about RCTC processes with links to important information on the RCTC website. A separate Student Planner with a calendar of important deadlines is a free resource available throughout the Student Services area and in the Bookstore.

The provisions of this publication were prepared on the basis of the best information as of the date of publication; however, information in this handbook may be amended from time to time by appropriate action of the faculty, the college administration, the Minnesota State Board of Trustees, or the Minnesota Legislature.
