The Auburn Avenue and Jackson Street property provides the potential for the project to establish an vibrant portal to a new Atlanta Street Car stop as a commercial and pedestrian oriented development that celebrates a close connection to transit and open walk-able street-scape. The site is part of the Martin Luther King Historic District with adjacency to Sweet Auburn neighborhood district, featuring culturally diverse fine grain and pedestrian orientation. The Opportunity Housing project proposal focuses on enterprise housing design in support of local and home based businesses. The project explored the idea of live-work units with mixed use development and a controlled private garden for residents and occupants to enjoy.

MAPPING MANHATTEN Involves techniques to show how cities are situated in the natural settings, and to depict where cities meet natural systems using Arc-GIS program. Using the collected GIS data, we are able to map different factors of study such as urban structure, infrastructure network, topography, density mapping, development mapping and viewshed analysis.`

ARTS HIGH SCHOOL Peachtree School for the Arts is a school studio project located on Peachtree and North Ave. The prominent urban site and the neighborhood in Atlanta challenged the program to respond to the site. The classrooms are arranged along the facade of Peachtree St to create a strong facade of the high school. The art gallery and its outdoor sculpture garden along with other outdoor spaces proves to be a focus of the learning environment in the high school.

etro-Crossing the Urban Space
e Retro-Crossing project aims to revitalize and reconnect the neighborhoods of Martindale-Brightwood nd King Park through sustainably designed development oriented around the proposed Indy light rail, the xisting Monon Trail, and positive community initiatives. ven the site’s location in a low-income area, the proposed bike coalition program focuses on how cycles can become a social catalyst for change by providing local residents with access to affordable ansit as well as a means towards skills training in the bike donation and repair center. At the center, kes would be donated, taken apart by local volunteers, and reassembled for distribution and use within e community. Other aspects of the site design further celebrate the bicycle including bike-oriented wnhouses, bike parks, and designated bike lanes throughout the urban framework. Additionally, the e offers incubator retail spaces to encourage entrepreneurial activity, small businesses, and local mployment. terms of carbon neutral strategies, our site reuses two existing buildings, retrofitting them to include space r the bike shop, start-up retail spaces, offices, and a local farmer’s market; uses the green spaces for storm ater collection; equips all the housing units with green roofs; and promotes sustainable mobility and living rough multi-modal transit options and green living.

PHOTOGRAPHS + CHARCOAL Using Photographs as a means of articulation of the process of making tea and learning from it the process of creation, the project involved taking photographs of the process of making tea and translating those into hand-drawn charcoal drawings. Keeping the same orientation and size of the picture frame and adding a subtle sepia tone was a technique that helped articulate the process of envisioning, creating and making. And you ponder... isn’t it all about the process in any creation?
