Gallop

Although I have only ridden a horse once, I love their form and how they project sensitivity and soul while, at the same time, being so powerful. As an animal lover, the connection between humans and animals is a recurring theme in my paintings. I'm also intrigued by aerialists and acrobats and trick riders, and many paintings arose from how these people seem to defy gravity. There is something about the trust between human and horse that calls to me as an artist. As a child I loved carousel horses and that is where the decorations on the horse in my paintings come from.
