Festival clothing
The clothing that the South Koreans wear was wearing white. The men wore a loose fitting jacket or a robe. The women wear a dress called a hanbok. They wear different clothing for different occasions.

The every day clothing they wore was loose fitting pants or jeans. The women wore a skirt called a chima. Both women and men wore rubber shoes or no shoes. They take there shoes off whenever they go inside a building.
Business clothing For a business the men wore western styled clothing. Women wore a hanbok also for work. The kids wear modern fashion clothing for school.

Buddha’s Birthday There are many holidays in South Korea. Buddha’s birthday is the biggest holiday in South Korea. It is celebrated in April or May. On Buddha’s birthday people hang colored lanterns with prayers written on them in temples.

New Year New Year is another popular South Korean holiday. It takes place on January 1st. New Year generally falls on the day of the second moon. In South Korea people call New Year Luner New Year.

Harvest Moon Festival The Harvest Moon Festival is another South Korean holiday. Harvest Moon Festival or Chusok is one of Koreas most cherished holidays. This holiday is the busiest travel day, with over half of Korea’s population traveling. During this holiday, families visit there ancestors graves.

People who make laws A group of people who make laws are called kuk hoes. The legislature has 299 members. South Korea chose a democratic form of government. They have a president that makes laws also. They have a big government.
Rules and what Koreans worship Koreans worship nature gods and ancestral gods. In Korea the age you can vote is 19. The military kept in control of the country for a while.
How Koreans run their government and where Koreans came from Koreans migrated from Siberia. Koreans maintain a stable government. Korea is made up of 9 provinces. North Korea got ruled by China, Mongolia, Japan, And the Soviet Union.
Foods in South Korea South Korean people eat many different foods, “and I mean many�!!Grilling is very popular in Korea. Korean food is generally spicy. Koreans eat a large amount of fish. Various soups are common in Korea. Food in South Korea has many different varieties. In South Korea the favorite delicacy is bulgogi.
A good host prepares a wide variety of side dishes. Korean families eat three meals a day and increase in size. After eating Koreans may have a cup of tea. Two or three side dishes are served with each meal. More important meals will have six to twelve side dishes.
