Nicaragua has 5 private schools and 5 state universities. Normally school age is 6 to 13, but some kids don’t have money to go or get supplies they would need like paper or pencil. So if some kids can afford more school they can have more school because they’re only 4 grades. So if they want to they have to go to a different city. Another reason some kids can’t go to school is they might have to work to support his or her family.

Now even though people live in Nicaragua most people don’t even speak the Nicaraguan language! So instead they speak and talk Spanish. Also your probably wondering do they do school the same as us? Well, they do the same subjects math, social studies, reading and more. Many schools don’t even have enough classrooms to teach all the kids. So they have to go to school in shifts morning and afternoon.

The kids in Nicaragua don’t wear the stuff we do. The girls wear white blouses and blue skirts and the boys wear white shirts and pants. Since they don’t have a lot of money education is technically free. But the number -of schools are increasing because they are getting more money then the earlier years.
