In France today French citizens don’t think marriage is very important anymore, because they don’t think you need to be married to have kids and they just think it’s a piece of paper that doesn’t mean anything. When French people today get married they get married in the brides hometown. The people at the French wedding start to dance at night and stop at dawn. The people at their wedding honk their horns after they get married and drive away.

In France pregnancy is usually a happy time in France, the parents will do anything for a happy and healthy pregnancy, they will buy anything and do anything for the baby. In France when kids are thirteen or twelve the children take their first communion. The biggest transition in a French kids life is going from childhood to adulthood, so in order to be in adulthood you have to graduate from high school.

French cooking has been world renowned for centuries. The main course is meat or may come with potatoes, rice, or fresh vegetables. The desserts are pastries, crepes, or fruit. Favorite seafood’s in France are oysters, musse,shrimp, crab, lobster, trout, bass, perc andpike.
In France both hands stay above the dinner table at all times. Bread is eaten with every meal. Formal lunches and dinners may last more than 2 hours, with as many as 8 to12 courses. Wine is drunk with most meals.

Kids and teens get physical education classes at school and on Wednesday afternoons. The most favorite sport in France is soccer (football).The worlds most famous race is the tour de France, was held in 1903.

The traditional sport in France is called petanque. People of a small town in southern France play petanque. Petanque is like bowling. Petanque is also called boules.The object of the games is for the members of a team to toss the balls closer to the small target ball called the cochonnet before the other team does.

There are a lot of different sports for different ages. Young boys play soccer and rugby. Swimming, dancing, and gymnastics are popular sports girls like to do. Teenage boys keep playing soccer.
