Art in Japanese is very detailed. They take their time with every fold, drop and stroke in their art. Being in harmony with nature is important, so the Japanese when doing bonsai cut the Japanese trees very respectfully and delicately. European and American artists have affected Japanese artist’s technique. Japanese art and architecture go together because the Japanese paint houses and shrines for some art. The Japanese use bright harmonious colors for their art. Japanese art has always been held high in self-esteem.

Bonsai is cutting trees into many shapes. Bonsai is translated into tray planting. Bonsai is a great interest, hobby, or even procession. Every twig and branch is shaped until the chosen image is complete. Then the image is constantly trimmed and pruned.

Ori is translated to folding and kami is translated to to paper. Origami began in the 1st or 2nd century and spread in the 6th. Some Japanese celebrate weddings with wine bottles and cover them in butterfly origami. The Japanese also save the smallest of scraps and turn it into origami. The crane is the sacred Japanese bird so if a person folds 1000 paper cranes they will be granted 1

wish.

Japanese recreational activities allow people in Japan to have fun; we even do many of the same things here in America. Judo means self-defense or combat. Judo came from the fighting style of fudal Japan. Judo was founded in 1882 by Dr. Jigoro Kano. Judo is a refinement of the Japanese art of Jujitsu. Today I will tell you some facts about Japan. First I’ll tell you about their arts. One of japans favorite dramas is Kabuki. Kabuki is a form of drama only known in Japan. They also like sumo wrestling which is a (huge) activity in Japan. As weird as it may seem they consider fishing a fabulous art to.

This is what schools in Japan are like. Japanese students where navy blue shirts so its kind of hard to tell them apart with the ocean of blue students. The students must also learn calligraphy for there language. The gross thing in my opinion is their breakfast; an aver age breakfast in Japan is fish, soup, and rice all together.

Japans history in society is this. Did you know that people have live in japan for 30,000 years or more. Japanese people used to worship the sun gods .now a days they worship Shinto and Buddha.
