To start off you need a clear base, by applying BB Cream on blemished skin it minimizes the redness as well as the bumpy texture of the affected area. 2. Add concealer around the eyes and cheekbones to give them a brighter expression. 3. Set these products using Mineral-Powder-Foundation, this softens the skin tone for a natural finish. 4. To give the face some structure contour the cheekbones, sides of the forehead and cupids bow using a Bronzing-Powder, and brush your cheeks with an apricot blush for a youthful touch. 5. Seal off the look by applying a mat lipstick, giving them enough colour but not being too bold for this fresh look. Trend Privé Magazine 13

WE OWN THE NIGHT If you are a night owl, Germany is the perfect place for you. It has a thriving nightlife, with bars and clubs that often don’t close until dawn. Find out all about the best spots in Germany, from elegant cocktail bars, and underground clubs, to hip music venues, and oldworld theaters. Dozens of German castles are transformed with vibrant lighting as the sun sets and once the stars begin appearing, the nightlife extravaganza commences. People dance, sing, get amused by street performers, eat, drink and listen to live music until the sun rises again.

Photographer Linda Leitner is based in Munich, Germany. Munich is known for the most famous festival called “Oktoberfest”.Put on your dirndl or lederhosen, chew on pretzels, attempt to sing German songs when you don`t know the words and get dizzy on topsy-turvy rides. The night is full of fun in Munich! The nightlife in Munich is located mostly in the city centre. The pubs are located all over the city, but with higher concentration in the Schwabing area. Munich’s gay quarter is located in the borough Isarvorstadt, surrounding the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, and is also known as the Glockenbachviertel.

Emerging designer Anastasia Liebe was fascinated by extraordinary fantasy and fashion costumes already since her early childhood. Her enthusiasm for visionary designs accompanied her throughout her development as an artist and played an important role during her design studies in Trier, Germany. This and a recently accomplished project as the responsible costume designer for a short fantasy movie served as inspiration for the remarkable realization of her final work for the Master’s Degree. Her collection “Antagonista”, (editor’s note: Latin for “opponent”), excellently combines elements of couture fashion and costume design while expressing the theme of duality and the intense connection between the opposing forces of light and darkness.

ABED MAHFOUZ

What did you do before opening your own Haute Couture Maison? After I have completed my Baccalaureate degree, I have joined the family business in designing and tailoring where we worked as a team. Describe us Abed Mahfouz Brand in five words. Elegance, Exclusivity, Timelessness, Femininity, Transcendence.

How would you describe Haute Couture ‘80 in Paris? Haute couture in the 1980s had a revolutionary turning point especially with the French designers Pierre Cardin, Yves Saint Laurent, André A fondness of sparkling trinkets leaves their mark on Fall/Winter 2013/14 Abed Mahfouz collection for this new Courrèges. Some of the dresses show new mermaid cuts including several fabric layers; besides the illusion tulle, the designer used jetting scrolls of crin, lace Chantilly, refined filet and crepe silk. In terms of chromatic selection, Abed Mahfouz used colour variations carefully adapted to the season such as the absinthe acid, hot coral, rumba red, stucco, Maui blue, bottle green, all of which share an iridescent darkness or lux sheen when applied to silk blends making for the ultimate in opulent darks. In a world of continuous mixed abstractions, Abed Mahfouz manages once again to translate his creative imagination into pure beauty forms.

Interview by Myra Postolache, Trend Prive Magazine Editor and Wrter.

What’s the one trait that makes a woman attractive? Her unique mysterious character that stands out and gives her this eternal elegance. Tell us the importance of teamwork on backstage for your presentation? The show is like the beehive queen and the team is the honeybee colony. The team working

There are different sides of haute couture in the world. Where do you feel better to market your collections? At first the market was mostly centered within the Golf area with the royal families and high society VIPs. Now Abed Mahfouz has expended on an international level in haute couture and RTW depending on the markets needs. The most important person in your life is... My grandson! We would like to know the secret code of happiness by Abed Mahfouz. My happiness comes from my achievements; I take great pride in being a self-made man. This is the source, but now every luxurious designer brand is in a partnership to balance its financial aspect in a fast growing competition. This is why ABED MAHFOUZ is thinking of finding the best partnership for its international growth, exposure, and brand image. What are your expectations from Paris Fashion Week? This season I am thinking for doing a private presentation as I mentioned earlier. I hope that this collection will positively impress all audiences during the Paris Fashion Week. backstage is around 50 people from tailors, hair and make-up, lights and sound…. Then there are also around 25 models being prepared to shine and dazzle on the runway. It is a lot of hard work but it is the most precious and enjoyable part of the event itself in my opinion.

Tell us a little bit about your first creation. My first creation was a wedding dress in December 1982. From that moment my vision became a reality with my first international fashion show in Rome in 2001.

What inspired you on your last haute-couture collection for Paris Fashion Week? I have been presenting my collection and doing my fashion shows in Rome for the past 13 years. Now, I will hopefully present my 2014 haute couture collection in Paris in a private venue where the collection will be presented to the audience where the attention to detail and craftsmanship can be greatly appreciated.

www.abedmahfouz.com Abed Mahfouz (born 1956)[1] is a Lebanese Fashion Designer. The official launch of the Abed Mahfouz Bridal line “Dreamer” was during the Spring/ Summer fashion season in June 2001. The line was launched through a Fashion Show at the Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel, Beirut, Lebanon. The brand’s major turning point was the official launch of the Abed Mahfouz Couture line during Alta Roma Fashion Week in Rome, Italy October 2002. February 2010; launch of the Abed Mahfouz Ready to Wear collection during New York Fashion Week in New York City. Mahfouz’s creations are now being sold across several points of sale in the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The Abed Mahfouz brand has three product lines; Bridal, Couture and Ready to Wear all of which preserve a statuesque in design, quality and innovative designs. FROM RUNWAY TO REALITY Abed Mahfouz is an established and common name on the red carpet, he has dressed several notable celebrities to red carpet events as well engaged in multiple celebrity editorials. Celebrities in Abed Mahfouz include the likes of: Irina Shayk Carrie Underwood Daphne Guinness Selena Gomez Lindsay Lohan Alexa Chung Elizabeth Banks Camilla Belle Natasha Bedingfield Source: http://www.abedmahfouz.com/

All your ready-to-wear collections are full of creativity on the stage. How do you choose the colors and fantasy textures for a collection like this? I think that the choices I make come from 32 years of experience. In addition to that, being up to date on tend research and going to big yearly exhibits like 1ere vision as well visiting factories… helps in formulating an idea that leads to the choice of colors and textures that in turn become the base of the collection. Tell us the little story of ‘’The Dreamer’’, your first private wedding collection. The concept and its emotions in you. My first international fashion show was in 2001 in Rome. This is when I have launched my haute couture collection with 1 wedding dress. After that, the series of “The Dreamer” bridal collection was launched and is still going till now in 2014. The most beautiful place in this world, for a presentation for you is... It would be Rome with its tint of romance and its big outdoors space like villa Borghese etc.

“Two years ago I took part in an exhibition in Brighton where I met some exceptional artists. I particularly took a liking to a particular artist`s work- Jakob Belbin. After a couple of drinks on the opening night I was chatting with him and suddenly came up with the idea of me doing an Abandoned Fashion Shoot and having him add to the images by painting over them, I would then re-photograph them and they would be the final images. This has probably been done before, like most things, but I’m not a photographer who researches lots of other people`s work and history. I like ideas to come to me fresh and to create from my mind. I personally haven’t seen it done in a fashion shoot. I’m sure some of you will show me otherwise. Lol.”

“There is no Photoshop in this image, shot in an abandoned location in Belgium. There is a real giant painting on the wall; I printed out the photo and Jakob Belbin painted over the images extending the painting to the floor creating a surreal dream like image. If you look closely, you can see the wall through the painting, it`s quite fun guessing what was part of the original photo.”

“For me this is as intertwining as two art forms can get. For me this is real paintography. Apart from colour tweaks, ZERO photoshop has been done on these images. I’m explaining this because I don’t want people to look at the images and just see them as pretty photos. I feel it`s important that people understand the work and thought that went into them. I photographed a couture fashion shoot in two derelict abandoned buildings; I then printed the images out and sent them to Jakob. He spent two weeks painting over them, I then photographed them and that is what you see now. With lots of concepts already lined up and other things happening, it took two years for me to do the right shoot for Jakob to work on.”

“It’s a real interesting experience because half the result is kind of in someone else’s hands, but I like that, it’s a real collaboration. I didn’t want to tell him what to do, I wanted him to use his own amazing mind to add what he thought was right. This is the start of something I will be doing a lot more and something I have been excited about for two years. Thank you to everyone who made this shoot happen, especially Jakob Belbin!”

Doina Pirau Interview by Trend Prive Magazine Editor and Writer, Myra Postolache.

essences. Describe the woman Doina Pirau in few words. Doina Pirau may have different meanings, depending on which perspective you see her. Doina Pirau can be the reference for a luxurious brand, can be the best sister in the universe, a very demanding friend, someone’s favorite designer ever, crazy hard worker, a naive dreamer, a funny fellow friend, a trustworthy and good listener, a very attractive female, a pretty young lady, an unapproachable business woman, a darling, the cutest thing in the world, a very sensitive niece, a doll and many other “few words” :)) (laughing)

Doina Pirau with actress Angela Bassett

INTERVIEW WITH

Doina Pirau

The history of your passion : The handbag design. It started in 2008 while I was in the last year of high-school. It was just at the beginning of the year, the first days of January that the idea of creating a handbag line came and sketched my first bag design, which came out amazingly beautiful. I was the one to test it in public and have to admit, it took all the attention, women and not only were masmerized by it. People were thinking I must be a millionaire. Immediatly I started working on a business plan together with my brother Victor-Adrian, learning all about the “making of” and craftmanship of the handbags. The result was pretty impressive and so the brand Doina Pirau started. Thinking about it after already 6 years, it was a lot of passion, hardwork and focus, very unusual for that particular age, when teenagers have other thoughts on their minds. Is there a code for success? It shouldn’t be a code for that first of all. I had to be gifted from God, who showed me the way and opened doors for me without any struggles, getting invited in actually to find support from my loved ones, keeping high standards of ethic and morals. Hard work is a must, be honest and appreciate the people on your team for their passion and dedication when they are doing good. Be sincere and kind, encourage and understand your people’s needs. Take time for rest and recreation, early to bed, early to rise, work hard and show discipline. Respect for quality, in everything. The definition of luxury? Luxury / Luxurious for me is a more than an attribute for a product. I would extend the limitations of use and would say it’s something that we can apply universally including our way of being at each and every moment. It’s a quality of the spirit. Timeless, rich, strong, accurate, impecable. All those qualities are composing “luxury” as they are rare and exclusive, being specific for noble

How do you get your inspiration? I am just an effortless receiver from the divine force that for me is proven to be called God, Jesus Christ and the Holly Spirit that sends me all the ideas and concepts I need for my collections. I feel very lucky and blessed for this. Designers often try to copy Doina Pirau designs and in the end if it`s an inspiration for others even better. The most important thing in the process of a handbag design is... Keeping the same proportions for the pattern that the sketch has. What challenges did you face in this industry and how did you overcome them? The greatest challenge is to discern whom deserves your trust or not. Being a spiritual person, I have senses developed that help me understand people, especially in this business and also in personal relationships and friendships. Thinking and taking important decisions after analyzing, not instantly.

Salma Hayek, (produced by Gerard Butler), Alan Siegal and Heidi Jo Merkel, Anna Gun also wears my designs. I was very delighted to get to know Angela Bassett and Dennis Quaid for the men line, Mads Mikkelsen and his gorgeous wife. There are a lot of celebrities that much appreciate the quality of the brand Doina Pirau has, supposing that “luxury” and “exclusive” would be in their top. The most beautiful place in the world for you.. Where my heart is. Do you read a book? Which one? Right now I am reading the most awesome book in the world, that I would recommend from my heart to everyone, and is called “Bible”, the new international version in English, published by Zondervan ( www.zondervan.com ). I am totally fascinated with it! It contains subjects about each and every situation in life. You can learn even how to make good business. I’m telling you a secret! Most writers who give advice on different life issues, find their inspiration in this book. For everyone who reads this interview, I would suggest they should check for themselves. Amen! Do you believe in “eternal love”? Love is not a feeling, as we all should know feelings are deceiving. Love is a choice, and I do believe in eternal love, totally. Your favorite color? I couldn’t limit myself to one. Ivory, white, baby blue, a range of reds and naivy. The most important person in your life.. My beloved mother, Elena, which I miss very much being in the heart of Transylvania right now.

What`s the name of your last collection and share a little secret about it. The collection of Antonia Purses, which is iconic for Doina Pirau brand. We will reinvent this design over and over. Now we are preparing a big surprise, for a capsule collection in the one of the most renowned luxury stores in the world. There are two different shapes of bows fixed together, where the main one symbolizes the infinite and the little one on the top signifies our spirit, that is unlimited in time and gifted to us. The correlation between them is strong. I`d like to add that 100% of the profit from the Antonia purses goes to orphan children. The most important thing that you have in your personal handbag. It’s a very comforting déjà-vu and funny at the same time... I remember a similar question years ago, when you were one of the first people to interview me, as I know you believed very much in my designs, proclaiming them as LUXUS Fashion, and I thank you so much for that. I remember I said a Doina Pirau wallet. Now I say it would be a book of wisdom. Do any celebrities own your designs? Definitely. The most worldwide known at this point is Sharon Stone, who has several purses in her personal bag collections and is waiting for a custom made pair of shoes from us. We also honored special orders from the highly appreciated Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Shohreh Aghdashloo which is now filming a movie with

MOST embarrasing fashion moments To start off, I am fair complected with red hair. Catalina and I were out last night for some dinner. I was wearing a red and white polka dot dress that cut right above the knees, and black socks with black heals. Catalina turns to me and says something about how she hasn’t seen white tights in so long. She even reached down to feel my legs. I was confused at first, and then I looked at her and said, «no Cat, that is my skin.»

They had no idea that your McQueen jacket & D&G ripped jeans were actually crazy looking – Tosha Cole Clemens on purpose!

I was invited to a fashion gala, I dressed up in an amazing fun semiformal high low green dress. I quickly realized that their thought of gala was different than mine. Everyone in attendance was very casual, even jeans! I definitely felt out of place. I have a recent lovely diddy about a vintage 70s jumpsuit with a zipper at the back butt crack that I forgot to zip and Florence Awa Mafany helped me out after a couple hours of unwittingly sashaying around at a fashion VIP dinner. Yeah. No undies.

TREND PRIVE HOT INTERVIEW WITH

MAGAZINE`S

EDITOR-IN-CHIEF A MAGEE Readers asked CATALIN „How do you keep the balance between being successful, work, family, & staying good looking!? “ – Veronica Raquel Garcia „What’s the most beautiful word from Fashion Dictionary? “ – Myra Postolache The most beautiful word from the “fashion dictionary” (if there was one) for me would be “Iridescent”, which I often see in Diane von Furstenberg`s work. Iridescent is the property of a fabric that appears to change color as it catches the light and is found naturally occurring in sea shells. Iridescent garments have an aquatic mermaid-like character, popular during party season. To me those fabrics are elegant and sexy. I also have a thing for French words, like Ombré (a gradual change of one shade from dark to light, often seen in Fendi`s work, creating a watercolor effect in the lightest layers of chiffon), Trompe L’Oeil (Mary Katrantzou is almost single-handedly responsible for the popularity of trompe l’oeil in contemporary ready-to-wear), Appliqué (a decorative design made of one piece of fabric sewn on top of another I`ve seen in a lot of collections by Marchesa). „What`s the funniest request that you had from one of the magazine’s contributors? “ – Emilia Vila

Ever since I started this new project (Trend Prive Magazine), I`ve adjusted the direction of my energy. Instead of going out or having numerous friends, I work on the magazine. Also, I choose not to do un-constructive things with my day. I`m terrible at doing nothing and can`t sleep well if I haven`t accomplished anything with my day. Sometimes TPM keeps me busier than it should and when my day is too full, I forget to enjoy my family, but luckily I don`t allow it to happen too often. Good looking? Oh thank you kindly. Now that`s a subjective matter and honestly, that`s really the last thing on my plate.

recognized me from teachers` stories and my socalled “different” fashion sense. 6. I have too many purses and shoes, but always wear the same ones. What`s up with that? 7. I eat the same breakfast every morning for weeks at the time. 8. When I get mad, my eyes color turns green. 9. I sneeze when I look at the sun. 10. I once fainted on a rollercoaster. To be more exact, it was the drop-down ride. 11. I have a funny story about each city I visited. 12. When I`m in the mood for cooking, I am an excellent cook. 13. 98% of my friends are guys. 14. My nose was broken 3 times. 15. The first Hollywood celebrity that hugged me was George Clooney, whom I met more than once. „What are the 3 main qualities that an artist needs to have in order to be published in TPM? “

„What is your guilty pleasure? “

– Daniel Suntu

– Chyla Camacho

Honesty, hard-work and loyalty. Sometimes the personality of an artist is more important than his work. If an artist shows loyalty to us and is honest about the exclusivity of his work, I can appreciate that more than anything. For me, the most important thing is for Trend Prive Magazine`s artists to become a big family and grow, connect and help each other.

As lame as this answer might sound, I`d have to say that it`s smoking cigarettes. It`s more than a guilty pleasure; it is actually stupid, self-imposed slavery. Each time I light up one, I realize how cigarettes don`t actually feel a void, but they create one. That very first cigarette is my only regret and smoking it was the worst choice I`ve ever made! Watch out kids!

The funniest request? Hmm…Nothing is funny about a contributor requesting things. It`s like giving someone a gift and asking the price of it. Luckily, none of our contributors are tacky like that. We try to select understanding artists who want to contribute for the purpose of making a difference or simply in return for being published with us.

„If there were an emergency and you only had time to grab four things from your house, what would you take? “

„What does Romania mean to you? “

– Emanuelle Privendo

– Michael Santoni I`d take my cat, phone, wallet and car keys. „Tell us 15 things that we don`t know about you . “

– Razvan Ferigeanu

15? Jeez….Ok.

Romania is where a person like me should be coming from. That place gave me life and a lot of true values. I was brought up in a very humble family and in that case, I never got depressed about mediocre things, I`ve always been a positive person and tried to find solutions in any difficult situation. For that I want to remember Romania every day of my life. Granted, I have no family left there anymore and I`m ashamed to say that I barely speak the language properly, but my love for it will never end.

1. In my 20s I used to have an amazing jazz and reggae collection. 2. My inner self is an old philosopher with dreadlocks. 3. When I first got to The States, I worked at an Applebee`s for only 2 hours and ran from the backdoor all the way home. 4. I`ve always been a popular girl growing up. 5. Years after I visited my high-school, new scholars

„What is the main reason you decided to create Trend Prive Magazine and what future plans do you have for it? “ – Michele De Luca The first reason for me was to be challenged and learn new things. I felt the need to wake up every day and be motivated to do more, give back to the world and create something I haven`t created before. I still have so much to learn though. But I should also go back and finish my medical degree. My life has gotten too full and the days go by so fast that I don`t wanna regret not having a degree. Perhaps TPM will become a bi-annual magazine pretty soon. We`ll see. „If you were stuck on a deserted island and could choose one Hollywood hunk to come rescue you, who would it be? #hypothetical “ – JT Seibert Hollywood hunk? Who`s the guy who survived on a deserted island (in “Cast Away”)? Tom Hanks, right? Well, I`ll go with him then! ;) Trend Privé Magazine 61

The Journey... You talk about dark periods of your life, how do you feel those challenges brought you to where you are today? SB: I think the good and bad shape you to the person you are today. The dark periods usually teach you survival, how to be fearless, to think fast on your feet, and choose your situations wisely. If you take those lessons and combine them with the good lessons, you will be alright. The trick is to take the traits you got from the dark periods and make them positive and not let yourself stay in darkness. Hard to do but when you do, you come out very strong. Do you ever see your uncle now and if so, how do you tolerate it? Did anything happen to him? SB: I did not see my uncle after the hearing except once at my grandmother’s funeral five years ago. Nothing happened to him because I was past the eight years Statue of Limitations. It is very important to remember that you have eight years from the date of story. Interview with designer STACEY BLANCHET Life is precious isn’t it? Life is something that we experience every day and frankly something that most of us just drift through. Why do you think people often take life for granted until something tragic happens to them? Why can’t we seize every opportunity as if it’s our last? We never know when life is going to take us down a path that we didn’t intend to go. Most of us have had some sort of event happen to us that defined who we are, what we stand for and challenged our inner being. What we do with those unjust moments is up to us. We can decide to be victims the rest of our lives or we can choose to rise above it. Often times, meeting someone can impact your life forever. Every once in a while you come across people who capture your attention on different levels, whether it is their success in business, their demeanor, or their outlook on life. For me, that encounter happened when I was introduced to Stacey Blanchet. At first, our talk was centered on fashion and her telling about the process of creating Blanchet Designs. Our conversation quickly developed into a world of exploration. After learning about the film and then later watching “The Journey to Myself”, it only seemed natural to interview Stacey to find more about this film. Hardly do we ever get to know the designer behind a stunning evening gown to the degree that we do with Stacey. Her journey has ups and downs and once you know her, you will appreciate her creative designs even more. You will see an amazing person rise above her sexual abuse into a beautiful and successful woman today. What inspired you to create this movie? SB: It was an accident. My producer, Jonathan Medal, followed me for a year to document the life of a design house starting up. We wanted to catch the ups and downs of what it takes to create this type of business. When we wrapped up, he came to me with a special request. He wanted to scrap the entire project and have me tell my story instead. He felt that was a better

What do you think one misconception is that will change people’s view of you after they see this movie? SB: I haven’t got a clue. I don’t know if there are any misconceptions out there about me. I believe I am very authentic, straight forward, and most believe what you see is what you get. I say that “I am anything anyone has ever said about me, because chances are, I was that way to that person”.

logic to every part of my life. I just haven’t figured out if it is a good thing or a bad thing. It has worked for me in my life. How do you begin to look at men in a healthy way? SB: I was very lucky that I grew up on a foundation of love and the men in my family were wonderful. My mother’s second husband is who I call my dad and he is still a part of my life today. The men I have been surrounded by were very good, decent, loving and caring men that I learned a lot from. I have never put all men in the same category. I believe there are a lot of very good people out there and some bad ones. I just happened to meet them both. If you could give someone advice that is going through the same thing, what would you say? SB: Tell people until you find someone who believes you. We are in different times from my time in 1976. People listen now and they can recognize the signs much better. There are so many avenues available now for help that you don’t have to rely on your family. It helps to have a supportive family but you don’t need them to help yourself. You must believe in helping yourself even when others don’t. The Journey to Myself represents your past, what do you want to define your future? SB: I do not want anything to define me. I love the line that Maria Shriver uses to describe herself “I want to be a work in progress until the day I die”. That hangs above my desk and it is something that I live by. My future has not been written and I for one want to be surprised!

Stacey started her design house only a few years ago and her gowns have already graced the red carpet at many celebrity events such as the Oscars and the Emmy’s. Blanchet Designs has also been featured in numerous magazines word-wide. This is only the beginning for Stacey, the sky is the limit! of black dresses on the Red Carpet, at offices, just everywhere, but nature is not just black! There is such a richness of colors and I wanted to bring these colors to women so they can glow on the red carpet and in their normal lives. Then they get recognized even more! Q. Tell us the little story of your first experience in fashion. A. When I was a child my mother always watched these TV trend fashion reports and as a tailor she was sitting at her sewing machine creating such nice dresses! I was always sitting there, watching her sew and wanted to sew too. I was five years old and so she was afraid to let me sew at that age of course. But I started to design dresses for my puppets and for me and she helped me to sew them.

INTERVIEW WITH ST. ROYALE Q. What did you do before opening your own Maison? A. To be honest I never thought of doing anything else but FASHION! Fashion was always on my mind since I was a child. I studied fashion in Berlin and focused on German couture ateliers. Q. Describe the St. Royale brand. A. ST.ROYALE is my Couture label inspired by strong femininity; strong in every way, being independent, romantic and self-confident. And LOVE- Love is a very strong inspiration for ST.ROYALE designs. I design dresses for moments you will remember. I also do styling for different events, for actresses and shootings, for movies- and we just built up our new online shop called ULTRAfashion for Cashmere-Basics and Accessories. Q. How would you describe Haute Couture during the ‘50s? A. The 50´s were a very special time for all Couture Maisons and for consciousness of designers and women. Dior introduced the NEW LOOK- it was a revolution! 3-40 meters of fabric was used to create a dress and this signaled the end of postwar restraint. This was what women and fashion hungered for! Q. Describe the St. Royale woman. A. First of all, self-confidence and HAPPY! Designing our Couture line, we always take care of the special customer, how she feels, how her silhouette looks and then we create a dress that is absolutely breathtaking and she feels good in. When I do styling it’s the same way. Every woman is beautiful, you just have to accentuate the positive things and hide the small flaws.

St. ROYALE dresses are made of the finest silks and lace, embroidered with Paillettes & Pearls. I like to use a kind of “Tattoo Effect” which looks like the handmade flowers and embroidery are sitting directly on the skin. Q. What’s the one trait that makes a woman attractive? A. Happiness! It’s an inner glow in which everything comes from. Q. Tell us the importance of backstage team-work for your presentation? A. We are preparing for a big fashion show at this moment where we will show St. ROYALE and launch ULTRAfashion and of course it’s absolutely important that the WHOLE team works together! Every person involved has their own power and energy we need to create such a richness of creativity and professionalism. I love to work with people who are putting good energy into their work - everyone has his or her own part that they are great at and when it ALL comes together, then it’s the best to give this love and energy to our customers. Q. What inspired you on your last collection? A. A lot of things inspire me all of the time: music, architecture, and people. This season it was flowers and their wonderful colors, shapes, and texture.

The Collection Q. How do you choose the colors and fabrics for a collection like this? A. This season I wanted to create a colorful look, bringing richness of color to life of every woman. There are always a lot

MORE from Berlin-based designer Q. The most beautiful place in this world for a presentation for you is... A. Ohh, there are so many beautiful places! Actually, I think every place where people are in a good temper and the team is great. Then I would say it’s the best I wish for a presentation. Q. There are different sides of ready-to-wear in the world. Where do you feel better to market your collections? A. With our new “baby”, the online shop ULTRAfashion, we focus on direct marketing to the customer all over the world. They are always welcome to ask for styling help and I´m totally happy when every woman finds her inner GLOW and feels good. Q. The most important person in your life is... A. My mother.

Food For Your Skin By: Tosha Cole Clemens We live in such a fast pace hectic world. Our alarm clock doesn’t go off and we start our day off in survival mode. Our routine becomes mundane, acting out in autopilot. Have you ever driven somewhere and looked back and wondered how you got there? I feel this way when I go shopping. I typically get the same products and pick them up without even entertaining a thought. Shouldn’t we actually take time to think about what we are buying? Especially if the products we are purchasing are for our skin. Buying a product simply because we are in a rush and the packaging looks great should not be something we settle for. If we educate ourselves on what we put on our body, it will not only empower us, it will also encourage us to take better care of this one body we have. Natural products are what I strive for. Aeveka is made out of all natural ingredients that are safe and gentle to the touch. No longer do we have to worry about exposing our skin to harmful chemicals! I got the amazing opportunity to interview Ilona Landver, the owner and founder of Aeveka. Ilona shares with us the reasons why she started Aeveka. HOT

INTERVIEW WITH ILONA LANDVER: Tell us a little bit about your background: IL: I have been in the beauty industry for over 10 years. I started out as a massage therapist then got my esthetician license, followed by a nail technician license. I have a few more licenses under my sleeve. I am also a certified holistic health coach and certified yoga instructor. But I took everything I have learned, all my research and knowledge, and put it in to my main passion and focus, which is my Aeveka skincare line. How did you start your company and why? IL: I struggled with acne in my teenage years and had tried many different beauty lines. I would like one product from one line, another product from another line. But I couldn’t find one natural and pure product line from which I wanted to use ALL their products. I always told myself that I would one day create a skincare line that is beneficial, natural and effective. At that time I also had no idea that parabens, phthalates and formaldehyde (just to name a few) are so bad for us and YES, unfortunately they can be found in most skincare lines on the market today. Knowing what I know now about the harmful effects that cheap filler ingredients have on our bodies, helped me to start my own company, Aeveka, naturally pure. What is your company about? IL: Aeveka is about healthy, natural and pure skin products. Aeveka skincare is made with natural and organic ingredients. Our products are not filled with harmful, heavy oils and water but rather with real fruits and vegetables. Our pure juices and green & red teas are cold pressed in order to keep their nutritional value. Our skin’s pores are like tiny little mouths that ingest everything we put into them just like when we eat. That’s the philosophy behind food for your skin, hence our hashtag. What are some of your top sources of inspiration? IL: My top inspiration is my dear friend Eva Kovacs, who just recently passed away from cancer. We went to esthetician school together. She was older than me so I looked up to her a lot. Her guidance and advice was the motivation I need to get through school and follow my dreams. I made a pact to myself that I would honor her life through preventing others from using potentially cancer causing ingredients. Her positive and inspiring presence in my life is why I named my skincare line after her nick-name “Aeveka.

www.Aeveka.com The fantastic aroma of the products captivates my senses. The face wash has an amazing citrus smell that awakes the soul. The day crème has a cucumber scent that rejuvenates the mind, leaving us refreshed mentally and physically. Artist Tips for Wedding Make-up!

By Erin Schweinsberg

1

ALWAYS get a make-up trial done. Some artists will do this for free, others will charge a product fee; no matter what it costs, pay it to have peace of mind leading up to your big day. You want to make sure your make-up artist understands exactly what you want, and there is no better way to ensure this then a make-up trial!

3

Establish what type of colors you want on your day! Whether it be deep browns with earthy pink tones, or dark grey with shades of peach; a classic and timeless look is the best way to go. Avoid any unusually bright seasonal colors, or make-up fads that are passing through, when it goes out of style you might regret your choices and photos are forever! It’s a given that most brides want to look natural on their wedding day, but the word “natural” isn’t always the best one to use (it’s easy to misinterpret natural make-up for minimal make-up, and most brides want natural colors but with full coverage foundation); so my biggest advice is to use the word “flawless.” You want your skin to look flawless on your wedding day accompanied by natural colors that compliment your skin tone, color, and overall appearance. Let your make-up artist determine what type of coverage is needed to achieve a flawless foundation look for your big day.

Wearing a white t-shirt to your make-up trial is also a noteworthy tip! Doing this allows you to gage how the make-up will look against your white dress, you want to be able to visualize your look as accurately as possible, and this will be the best (and last) opportunity you’ll have before the big day arrives!

You absolutely want false eyelashes! I cannot stress this enough, so take your makeup artist’s advice and allow them to incorporate extra lashes into your wedding makeup. If you don’t want a full strip of lashes then there are other options available, there are some very natural looking half strip lashes, and there are also lashes that come in individual pieces (these are probably the most comfortable option for people that aren’t used to wearing lashes at all). Your eyes frame your face so you need to enhance them, and lashes will complete your look! Lash images retrieved from: beautyclubplus.com /Right image retrieved from: kadinvehayat.net
