the question: I just found out the home I bought is on a septic system even though the inspector I hired said the house was on City sewer. What can I do?

the answer: Call the Inspector and have them come back out. Many times when a home was built many years ago sewer was not in an area thus a septic system was required. Then later on sewer services was installed and homeowners then converted over. Perhaps that is the case here. The listing for your home should have also indicated whether the property had a public or private sewer system.
