the answer: Of course you will want to have a well-crafted contract that clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of each party. To make sure these legal matters are in order you should have the contract reviewed by an attorney before singing it. While a good attorney and a strong contract will protect you legally some of the best protection you can have is the practical kind that comes from quality due diligence prior to execution of the contract. You should look at the background of the builder: checking with the State to see if any complaints have been filed there against the builderâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s license, go see other homes they have built and talk to those past customers for references.
