A cloud on title means that there is some type of defect affecting the title to the property. It can be many things, but normally the issue can and will need to be cured in some way by closing attorney. This can come through resolution by drafting and recording documents or perhaps the attorney could obtain title insurance to cover the defect. It all depends on the nature of the problem. ..
