The owners were once tenants of ours, we sold them their first home in Warilla then some years later I sold that for them and they purchased the double storey house at Balarang. A few months after moving into the house the owner had a shunting accident at work and lost his arm and leg. We sold that house for them so they could buy a level block of land to build a home that was suited to their needs. I still stay in contact and they are friends forever What are the current trends in the market? It has been a very buoyant market since late 2012 which has been enhanced by low
interest rates. The market is showing signs of tightening up but if a property is priced at its the true market value, then it will sell very quickly How do you see the market in the next 5 years? The market is a living thing really, it changes to reflect the times we live in. Knowing what will happen in 5 years is hard to say but I can say that the present conditions cannot keep going but saying that I would have thought it will be something like it is today if not tighter What do you find most challenging about real estate? Nothing really, I enjoy every part of it What changes would you like to see? The sale process in NSW is far too long. A conveyance should only take about 4 weeks like in other states, not nearly 3 months like it does here What would you be doing if you weren’t in real estate?
