a letter from lani It’s fall again! Fall is the favorite season for most fashion people as it is an excuse to buy new, fabulous outerwear. Fashion people LOVE coats, as evidenced by the fact that my coats take up 90% of our front hall closet! This season is perfect for the coat collector because new coat silhouettes are everywhere. The Robe Coat is the new trench, the silhouette areand everywhere. which will make your whole wardrobe lhouettes seem fresh exciting. For the perfect update to your work wardrobe, try a midi skirt from our Bold Florals section with a crisp white shirt. Menswear textures are a versatile addition to your 9-to-5, but keep it unexpected with a funky plaid clutch or tweed bootie. Color blocking, geometric and ethnic prints are also making a reappearance this season. Another look that made a big impact this fall is head-to-toe knitwear in every shade of greige. Imagine loose fitting sweaters with soft, flowy trousers or perhaps a pair of knit leggings! Need a more casual look? Surround yourself in shearling with Ski Chalet Chic. Update your fair-isle sweaters and include a cute backpack! Colors are all over the place this season, from brights to more muted colors. Pick the ones that make you feel good! This season, the Real Life Style trendbook is on a new platform, Issuu. All of the links are still clickable, and all of our pieces are still shoppable! Simply hover over the image and click the Link icon that appears at the bottom of the square (the farthest right icon). This will take you straight to the site where you can purchase, or just ogle, the piece! Happy Fall Shopping!

Grey and beige, also referred to as “greige. Designers love this soft, beautiful color combination, as muted shades of camel, chocolate, charcoal, and ivory ruled the runways this fall, especially in knitwear. To get the look, don a full sweater outfit, with sweater dresses, tunics, leggings and coats all in the mix.

Leather with silk, fur with tweed: designers love playing with textures this season. We covered three textured trends. The menswear look plays with tweeds, plaids, wools, and boucle. Fuzzy fabrics include fur, suede, velvet, and calf-hair. For a futuristic outfit, look to metallics, sequins, neoprene, or go for a combination for extra points!
