CHARACTERISTICS OF A GOOD LOCATION

A Safe Neighborhood

A home located in a community with little crime, where neighbors interact, and is safe to walk freely is most desirable.

Good Schools

Being in a good school district, even if you don’t have children, is where young families will always buy. The better the school district, the higher the values of the surrounding homes.

Convenience

The easier it is to access the main features of a community, the more valuable the home. For homeowners in cities, it is access to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment; for locals, it’s proximity to the mountains, trails, and parks; and for many, it is access to major road systems.

Proximity And Views

No matter the location, someone will always pay for a great view, to be near water, or their favorite activities. A home with panoramic views of the front range and Pikes Peak or the upper floors in a high-rise is a great selling point.

No Intermittent Noise

Being located on a busy street or close to a fire station, hospital, airport flight path, or local school is generally considered a negative. These intermittent noise factors can be missed when looking at a home and not reviewing your location fully.
