Buyers are Returning!

After a gradual and continued slowdown that started in March 2022, it appears that the Buyer energy has returned to the Real Estate Market.

In the last month or so, there has been positive news in terms of increased sale prices and shorter times to sell in Hamilton, Burlington, and the GTA. Here in Oakville, the number sold, average price, and appointments to see homes are all up since the end of February. The days to sell are down 15%.

In Southeast Oakville, the average price, number sold, and calls into our Brokerage are all up since February of this year. Homes that did not sell late last year or earlier this year were re-listed and sold quickly. The average time to sell has dropped to 19 days (excluding one outlier) since March 1st. Current average sale prices are the highest we have seen in 12 months.
