Warranty Terms and Conditions OLYMPS DOOR tries to make sure that each door is complete and to your order. Sometimes we make mistakes, despite our quality control inspections. We will correct defects and mistakes as quickly as possible. Please inform your garage door dealer, or OLYMPS DOOR directly, about any problem. OLYMPS DOOR provides a 24 - month warranty from the date of delivery. The warranty covers product quality, completeness of all parts and proper door function (as far as it was installed by authorized worker). During the warranty period, OLYMPS DOOR will provide replacement parts and material to correct any manufacturing or material defects and failures. For a warranty claim, please provide the order code and door production number. For multiple door installations, please completely install one door first to discover any possible defects and failures. Garage doors must be inspected by an authorized worker at least every two years or 3.000 operating cycles. OLYMPS DOOR garage doors are designed for a minimum of 10.000 operating cycles. After 10.000 operating cycles, or ten years, the torsion spring(s) must be replaced and the door completely serviced. One operating cycle is one door open + close. Expert inspections, tests, maintenance or repairs must be done by authorized workers. All work must be recorded in the record book.
FASADEPRODUKTER | GARAGE DOORS & GATE OPENERS
The warranty ends at the end of 24 - months or if: • The door was not installed correctly • The door was not installed in accordance with CE regulations and standards • Defects or damage caused by unauthorized modification of the door or components • Defects or damage caused incorrect door use • Defects or damage defects caused by failure to inspect, test, provide maintenance or repair The warranty does not cover: • Damage caused by the accidents to the door or improper use • Damage caused by natural disasters This manual does not give any rights to modify the door by the installer or user. The responsibility for any modifications which are not in accordance with this manual are those of the installer. Any unprofessional modification or improper door use can cause door failure or accident – resulting in injury or property damage.

Warnings & General Cautions For safe installation, use and servicing of garage doors it is necessary to follow some precautionary measures. Please observe the following warnings and cautions! If you have any question, contact your door supplier or OLYMPS DOOR. This installation manual was created for experienced installers and it is not suitable for beginners. Before installation, please read this manual carefully! Some parts have sharp edges – wear safety gloves and use other safety equipment. All delivered components are designed for use with OLYMPS DOOR sectional doors. Changing or adding other components can negatively affect door safety and invalidate the warranty. Changing or modifying components, or their installation, not in accordance with this manual will invalidate the CE certification! Garage door torsion springs are very powerful! They are able to lift door weights +200 kg. Be very careful when winding (tensioning) the springs. Make sure the locking pliers are fixed tightly to the torsion spring shaft and keep the face and neck away from the winding bars. The bottom section and its components cannot be modified or cut! There is very strong stress on the bottom section. Any cutting or modification to the bottom section can weaken this critical part of the door. Never remove the bottom cable brackets or try to remove the lifting cables. The cables are under very high tension. Work carefully. Use the right tools and equipment. Stand firmly in a stable position. Have sufficient light and a clean garage for the installation. Only installers should be present during installation. Other people (children!) can interfere with installation and can be exposed to injury. Ensure that the building (walls and ceiling) where the door is installed are stable and strong. The installer is responsible for selecting and
using the correct anchoring materials. Garage doors with a motor cannot be safely operated with a hand pull rope. Remove any pull rope from doors with a motor. Any door with a motor requires the ability to manually disconnect the motor from the door - in the situation of no electrical power. If the garage door is the only entrance to the garage, a keylock disconnect device must be fitted to the door. This is used to disconnect the motor from the door. Before using the garage door: • Follow the door operating instructions. • The door installer has checked that that the door is properly installed with approved components and operating correctly. • The garage door motor power is properly adjusted for safe operation: the safety auto-reverse requires minimal contact to stop and reverse. • Other garage door motor safety features (photocells, safety edges, etc.) are functioning correctly. These documents must be provided to the door user: • Instruction manual • Record book with with data entered on the type of door, motor and related equipment; installer details; etc. • Copy of CE confirmation statements (IIa) issued by OLYMPS DOOR or installer confirmation about OLYMPS DOOR’S confirmation statement. • CE identification label, declaring the door meets EU laws and standards, is placed on the door. • The user was instructed in correct door use door and advised against dangerous operations.
CE Directions & Guidelines Sectional garage doors sold in the European Union must meet standard EN13241-1:2003, other relavent regulations and specifications; and the following standards issued by CEN: • Regulation 89/106/EHS concerning construction products (CPD) • Regulation 98/37/ES concering machinery equipment (MD) • Regulation 73/23/EHS concerning electrical equipment designed for use under a specificvoltage (LVD)* • Regulation concerning electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)* • Regulation concerning radio equipment (R&TTE)** *Only doors with electromechanical motors **Only doors with radio controls This door was developed and manufactured in accordance with the above regulations. These regulations affect doors: • Maximum door width: 6.600 mm • Maximum door height: 3.000 mm • Maximum door weight: 200 kg
• Other safety equipment which varies according to the track system; and optional safety equipment for motors. The door system described in this manual was successfully tested at the SP Swedish National Testing and Research Institute (reference 0402). The Initial Type Test (ITT) protocol was issued. On the basis of the test results, OLYMPS DOOR declares product conformity with EN13241-1:2003 and marks the product with the CE label. The number of the ITT protocol is shown on the door’s CE label. Doors can be manufactured only with the same components used in the ITT and as stated in the ITT protocol. This manual must be used with other additional installing instructions, such as manuals installation of spring break safety devices (OPP) and instructions for motors. Even though this door was produced in accordance with European standard EN13241-1:2003 and related regulations and specifications, weal some et local and national technical and standards and regulations.
This door meets the following safety requirements: • Equipment to prevent the door from falling in case of torsion spring failure/breakage (the OLYMPS DOOR spring break safety device system – OPP). • Door sections with finger - protection joints to prevent damage to fingers. • Lifting cables inside the vertical track system.
