REFLECTION ON ASSIGNMENT 1
In this assignment, I produced 4 sheets of A1 "Chinese Ink Painting". Each painting had a different message. The first was about the origin of Chinese Folk arts, the second was about the Chinese Culture, the third was the symbolism of Chinese Folk Arts and the last piece, which was heavily related to the Chinese folk arts that are currently still practicing in Penang.
Throughout the process of executing this project, I have gone through hardships since the very beginning. Started my first two weeks with no idea of what my topic is revolving around to not having enough ideas to produce such a big scale of work.
However, there were also a lot of things that I have picked up illustration and photoshop techniques while executing my task. In the meantime, I have also learnt a lot on the Chinese Culture and also the traditional folk arts that has been passed down for generations along with the purpose it served.

REFLECTION ON ASSIGNMENT 2
In this project, I crafted a mid-scale acrylic automaton with crankshaft mechanism that moves in linear motion. With the idea of Chinese shadow puppetry through the presentation of Chinese paper cutting portraying the scene of folks preparing for Chinese New Year.
I did the illlustration on Adobe Illustrator before I started tracing the outline on Sketchup. The tough part was to estimate the scale of the model and to contact multiple acrylic suppliers if they had my desired colour in stock.'
The part that I was not satisfied with this project was when I started to assemble the pieces. I realised the scale was too big and the thickness of the acrylic was not considered while purchasing the materials. I went with 5mm thickness for all the acrylics which made the model to heavy and hard to move in the desired motion as there were too much weight and pressure on the cams and rotating axle. This project helped me to learn how to use the laser cutting machine and illustrate on Adobe Illustrator.
ASSIGNMENT 3:ALCHEMY FINAL PROJECT
GLIMPSE OF SPATIAL IMAGINATION
To further refine the theme and narrative used in Phase 1 and 2 in a portion of our chosen site.

MODULE REFLECTION SPECIALTHANKS TOMYLECTURERS MrVIckram MsAishah
Throughout this module, I have learned many things and encountered diverse experiences, both exciting and challenging. It has been really stressful, but it has also taught me resilience. It was also the first semester of my degree programme that was physically held. Everything was new to me, from fabricating interactive models to travelling as a class, rushing works for printing, and especially the pinups in studio the day before Crit.
Despite the fact that the procedure was quite difficult and needing to manage other modules simultaneously. Working with other students during class assignments and projects has enabled me to advance my skills such as communication, effective learning, and have learnt to seek help adequately. Although these are modest adjustments, I am pleased with the outcome.
To sum up, this semester has challenged and strengthened a range of my skills. It has been a splendid opportunity to expand my knowledge and comprehension in each of the different areas within the course. Meanwhile, I'd want to convey my appreciation to both of my lecturers, Mr Vickram and Ms Aishah. Making time out of their busy schedules to give us feedbacks personally.
