Samantha Lea

BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Welfare

“I started my Animal Behaviour and Welfare degree after a long time out of education and I am loving it so far! I knew I wanted to study at a wellknown university centre where I could work with a variety of animals and feel well supported with my studies, and UCR ticks those boxes for me.

I like being a mature student because I am much more confident now than when I was younger, which helps me to get more out of my degree.

My biggest highlights so far have been meeting so many like-minded students and lecturers and gaining practical experience with the animals at the mini zoo on campus. I would highly recommend studying at UCR as a mature student!”
