INTRODUCTIONÂ This bibliography is a listing of items used for Placenames research held by various libraries at the University of Alabama. Most of the collections are held at the Map Library and Placenames Research Center in Farrah Hall, but a number of items are located in the Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library, the Sarah and Eric Rodgers Library for Science and Engineering, the Library Annex, and the W.S. Hoole Special Collections Library. The bulk of the collection covers the Southeastern United States but also include references for each of the American states and many countries and regions on every continent.
