About Me: I have a degree in Media and Film Studies from York St John University. Whilst at University I created various pieces of design work, most of which were portfolios. Outside of University I have designed a few different pieces which I will showcase in this portfolio. I am very computer literate and have experience of using Photoshop and InDesign.
Missflossyxo.blogspot.co.uk I currently run my own blog named ‘MissFlossyXO’. I decided on that name because ‘Flossy’ is a nickname of mine in my family. I did a bit of research before hand about the meaning of ‘flossy’, it’s actually a slang term for something or someone who is flashy/attention grabbing, so decided it was the perfect name for a blog. Obviously no blog is complete without a header and social media icons so I designed these ones myself on Photoshop.
Capturing the Active Audience These images were part of a University assisgnment about capturing peoples subconcious facial expressions. We were required to edit them to show these expressions. I edited these images using Photoshop. (Counter Clockwise) The first image is about decision making and being under pressure. I chose the cross hair and gun to represent this pressure and also included the game logo. The second image is anger, red is the colour of anger and I wanted to put all the concentration on the face so went with this effect. The final image is of defeat, I chose to use the soldier with guns so it appeared he was looming over the player.
Propaganda Club Night App
As part of a group project at University, we were required to design an app for something of our choosing. We chose to design the app for a popular club night named ‘Propaganda’. In our group, we decided we would design three pages each, these are the three pages I designed. To design the pages, we first looked on Propaganda’s website and took ideas for styles and colours from there. We wanted to try make it as similar as we could to their website but in an app form so users would be able to recognise it as Propaganda’s app.
Company Rebrand Another one of my univrsity assigments was to rebrand a company of our choice. I chose BHS, I wanted to make it more modern and appeal to a younger audience. This was my design for a new website for them. It has a more elegant and clean feel to it compared to their actual website. It’s also less cluttered and allows users to really see the items.

For their brochure I took some key features from the new logo and used them to create the footer for each page. I also used the same font as the logo for the heading of every page.
