Skills I am competent in Microsoft Office, Autodesk AutoCAD, Abobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign, with additional experience in using Bentley Microstation and Adobe Illustrator. I also have a limited knowledge of Google SketchUp and Autodesk 3Ds Max. Being both Mac and PC literate, I learn quickly and am able to apply existing skills to new environments and programmes with ease.
Interests My enthusiasm for design and architecture is unwavering, often influenced by following contemporary architectural publications and a personal interest in mid century design and aesthetics. I thoroughly enjoyed both the written and practical sides of my degree course; I learnt to draw, design and make in new, exciting ways and was intrigued by lectures on modern architectural history. Writing my dissertation was one of the tasks that I approached most passionately and I selected an original topic centered on product design, advertising and cultural attitudes of the 1960s. The choice also reflected my interest in the importance of Dissertation cover page.

Experience Adfecto Design & Loci Systems, London
Aug 2011 - Present
Currently, I am employed as a Junior CAD Assistant at Adfecto Design, an architectural/ interior design practice that specialises in the hospitality industry, chiefly passenger cruise ship design. I also work for the company’s partner firm, Loci Systems, which manages clients’ assets using specialist software developed in-house. 57 Marlborough Court, Pembroke Road, Kensingston W8

My primary responsibilities at Adfecto include updating complex vessel general arrangement drawings, contributing towards the concept development of projects, managing and designing marketing materials and presentation material, compiling material sample boards and programming and co-ordinating colour management practices across all systems used in the office. In addition, I have a number of responsibilites at Loci, including undertaking site/asset surveys and recording (by entering data into the asset management system) and mapping (by updating and classifying floorplans) the findings. By using both design programs extensively during my time at the practice, I have gained a valuable level of expertise in Adobe InDesign and Autodesk AutoCAD. I have also developed a practical understanding of design budgeting, FF&E procurement and project

planning and management.
Mode Interiors, London
Jun - Aug 2011
I was invited to complete some freelance assignments on a casual basis for design and build company Mode Interiors. Tasks included site surveying, interior space planning and fixture/fitting sourcing for two very different residential projects. I was also asked to draw up some plans and visuals for a speculative communication pod project.
Frame Magazine, Amsterdam
Jan - Jun 2011
I worked as an editorial intern at Frame, the international interior design magazine based in Amsterdam. I chose to accept the five-month position based on my enjoyment of writing about design and reading critical architectural essays at university. I also wanted to learn Article for Frame magazine.
more about the current interntational design industry and experience living in another country. My responsibilites at the magazine included writing articles, reviewing books, compiling product catalogues, finding and selecting new projects and discussing graphic design layouts. The magazine strives to deliver the very latest in product design, interior design and architecture - consequently, I have become very aware of current trends, technologies and up-and-coming designers. Although I found writing for the magazine enjoyable and educational, I missed the ‘hands-on’ processes - drawing, modelling, sketching and

Interior Architecture Exhibition, Oxford
Jun 2009, Jun 2010
I was involved in producing the end of year Interior Architecture Exhibition at Oxford Brookes University for two years running: both were deemed huge successes by architectural tutors, the school’s principal and external visitors alike. For the end of degree show in 2010, I led the design of the Interior Architecture department’s exhibition space with the help of two other students. The design featured a large installation of exploded furniture ‘Broken Home’ Interior Architecture exhibition.
entitled ‘Broken Home’. I played a large part in the design of wall display panels, the design and build of the installation, costing and resource management and the sourcing of materials. Assembling the structure on time and within budget was challenging at times, but I enjoyed the process and was impressed with the final outcome. Leading, organising and designing the exhibition was an extremely fulfilling and rewarding experience - I would be excited to work on a similar project again in the future.

summer as an administrative assistant. During my three month stay I carried out internetbased research for the architects and compiled several planning applications. Amsterdam, 23rd June, 2011
To whom it may concern, I’m writing this letter as one of the editors of Frame magazine, the international design magazine based in the Netherlands. Becky Woods worked here as an intern over a five-month period up until June this year. During her stay, she impressed us all with her keen and professional attitude, willingness to learn and improve, and her quickness in picking things up and acting on her own initiative. She was well organised, fast, and enthusiastic, and showed considerable promise as an editor and writer, producing some solid ideas and written pieces during her time here. Furthermore, she demonstrated good people skills and proved popular with our 25-strong staff. We were all sorry to lose her, but she preferred to return to the UK rather than remain with us in Amsterdam. I can highly recommend her to any future employer. Please feel free to call me on +31624576585 if you’d like to discuss further. Yours faithfully, Jane Szita, Editor, Frame Magazine
