Mission Statement
St. John the Evangelist Catholic School is a community of faith-filled people dedicated to providing educational excellence for the mind, body, and spirit.
Purpose
Our Capital Campaign is committed to the mission of St. John’s School. By raising funds for campus expansion and improvement, we are building our future and ensuring the legacy of academic excellence.
Vision Statement
At St. John’s, we believe that by providing a faith-based education, students grow spiritually and core values of respect, compassion and service are fostered. Our vision is that St. John’s will achieve longterm growth and sustainability, reaffirming its investment in facilities, faculty and, most importantly, students. By engaging financial support from all who share St. John’s passion for forming the character of the children, God’s greater community will be served.
“Our students are known for their strength in academics and preparedness for the future. They are taught to embrace Christian values at school and at home. They participate in many service projects that not only help our local community, but also our nation. These children represent our most important asset and St. John’s works towards developing their young minds as they grow.” Mrs. Peggy Fredrickson Principal and Parent

Expanding our Endowment Our school’s leadership and supporters rightly expect that once our expansion projects have been completed, St. John’s School will be able to maintain and operate its facilities. Once they have been completed and have become self-sustaining, it is our intention that the annual distributions from our Endowment be allocated to the following areas of need: Tuition Assistance
The long-range goal of the St. John’s tuition assistance is to aid the school in its offering an outstanding educational foundation to all students regardless of financial resources. St. John’s School welcomes students of all faiths, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds to learn in a safe and positive environment with role models instilling core Christian values along with a second-to-none education.
Faculty Excellence
The purpose of the Faculty Excellence Fund is to provide funds for competitive salary opportunities, thereby ensuring high quality and effective teaching. This fund will allow St. John’s School to increase faculty and staff salaries and to supplement faculty and curriculum programs. It is of paramount importance to recruit and retain the finest faculty and staff members. Our teachers and staff members are at the core of what makes St. John’s School excellent.
Technology
In a continually evolving world of technology, it is important for St. John’s School to remain competitive and demonstrate leadership in this regard. We are currently in need of an upgraded technology lab, providing more students with computer skills and adding Smart Boards to classrooms for increased interaction between students and teachers.
Infrastructure
Like any school, there are unforeseen expenses that demand immediate attention. The St. John’s Infrastructure Fund will ensure availability of funds to repair building and mechanical issues that arise without sacrificing monies needed for day to day operations of the school.
Methods of Giving
Selecting the best gift plan depends on your personal financial situation and goals. As tax laws are always changing and each individual’s situation is unique, you are encouraged to consult with financial advisors to determine which method of contributing is most beneficial to you. There are many ways of giving so that you are able to meet your needs and those of your family while having the opportunity to give to St. John’s School. Pledges are commitments made in good faith, but are not legally binding. You may want to consider stretching your pledge over a three-year period to maximize the total amount of your support. We encourage all donors to consider a 10-20 percent initial payment to begin their commitment. Gifts made by cash or check are the most common and will allow St. John’s to address its immediate needs. However, while the needs of the “Building Our Future” Capital Campaign are urgent, we will gratefully accept gifts in any amount in various forms.

Can I choose how my gift is used? Yes, although most donors leave their gifts unrestricted to ensure that their gift will be used to address our most urgent needs.
Questions and Answers How can I participate? Can I pledge over time?
Our program offers a wide range of gift opportunities to participate at all levels. You may choose a plan that provides you with both flexibility and time to complete the payment of your choice. Because our needs are urgent, we encourage you to complete your pledge within three years.
Is my pledge legally binding? Will it be confidential?
No, a pledge is a gift, one to consider to be meaningful to you. All we ask is that you do your best and advise us of any financial changes that will impact your pledge. Please inform us on your pledge sheet if you wish to remain anonymous.
To what extent are campaign commitments tax deductible?
Gifts to the campaign are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. The application of such laws varies with individual circumstances. Donors with specific questions regarding tax deductibility should contact their attorneys.
Who will be asked to support the “Building Our Future Capital Campaign? Alumni, parents, parishioners, friends, corporations, foundations and many others will be asked for consideration of a gift to the campaign.
How will the campaign affect my annual giving?
Annual giving will continue to provide support for ongoing academic programs. During the campaign, volunteers will ask everyone to make pledges above and beyond their regular annual giving. In the long term, similar campaigns have actually caused increases in annual giving by raising the sights of the donors.
Are pledges the only kind of gift?
While such gifts will be the type most often made to the campaign, other types such as gifts of stock or deferred gifts are also options.

In honor of your generosity, St. John’s gives you the opportunity of recognition. At one time or another, someone special has touched our lives in some way. A truly gratifying way to honor that someone is to give a gift in memory of someone important, who has influenced our development.
