Queenstown Arrival Flight – A Must Do! (HT 01)

Duration: 1.25hrs. You’ll fly alongside the Remarkables Mountains before you experience an Alpine Landing with spectacular sights of Queenstown, Arrowtown and Lake Hayes. Take advantage of the opportunity to take photos of this different side of Queenstown!
Scenic Soaker (HT08)

Duration: 1.5-2.5hrs. Includes: 1 hour or 1.5 hour in a hot pool, one beverage, towel & swimsuit hire. Enjoy a scenic flight from Heli Tours over Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu before landing at a selected helipad where you will be greeted by a staff member from Onsen Hot Pools. Enjoy a 1 hour or
1.5 hour private hot pool soak at Queenstown’s only private indoor/outdoor hot pools, high on the cliffs overlooking the Shotover River Canyon.
Heli ThunderJet Combo $275pp

Duration: 2-2.5hrs. Heli Tours will take you for a short scenic helicopter flight over beautiful Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains where you’ll experience an Alpine Landing and a different view of Queenstown before returning to our base at Queenstown Airport. From here, you’ll be transported via our courtesy van to Thunder Jet on Queenstown Bay. You’ll join Thunder Jet for one hour of jetboating as you blast out of the Bay across the glacial waters of Lake Wakatipu into the mighty Kawarau River.

Heli Tours Ltd, in association with Real Journeys, invite you to experience this important aspect of life in New Zealand as we showcase the true sustainable High Country farms that surround Queenstown and the Lake Wakatipu region. Land in this remote High Country before continuing the flight through the meandering glacier cut valley, over Walter Peak where you’ll join Real Journey’s Walter Peak Station Farm Tour, including Morning or Afternoon tea at the Colonel’s homestead. At the conclusion of your farm tour, you’ll board the iconic vintage steamship, TSS Earnslaw, for your scenic voyage across Lake Wakatipu back to Queenstown.

Duration 1.5hrs. Fly to the North, taking in the sights of the gold rush era. Soar above the mighty Shotover River, famous Skippers Canyon, the golden hills to historic Macetown and today’s town of gold – Arrowtown along the banks of the Arrow river.

Duration: 2-3hrs. Includes: 1 x Wine tasting, 3 course lunch. The wines of Central Otago are becoming increasingly popular worldwide and are winning international awards. With Heli Tours Wine Flight, you’ll enjoy a scenic flight over the Gibbston Valley as we make our way from Queenstown towards Cromwell and Bannockburn. You’ll enjoy the beautiful scenery of the western and central areas of Central Otago and a bird’s eye view of many of the region’s wineries and vineyards before landing at Mt Difficulty Restaurant to enjoy a luxury lunch and award pairing wines. It is the most perfect setting to sample our award winning wines. Mt Difficulty’s executive chef is well respected Werner Hecht-Wendt.
Glacier, Rivers of Ice flight (HT 03)

Duration 1.5hrs. To the west of Queenstown the flight will take in spectacular views of the braided Rees and Dart Rivers, Mt Earnslaw and many magnificent Glaciers. These deep blue “Rivers of Ice” create an amazing photo opportunity; before returning to Queenstown.
Spectacular Doubtful Sound (HT 04)

Duration: 4-4.5hrs. After leaving the picturesque Queenstown, we fly over vast NZ high country, large scale sheep and beef farms, secluded alpine lakes, extensive NZ native forests with towering mountains as far as the eye can see. Doubtful Sound is a massive wilderness area of rugged peaks, rainforest and twisting, hidden inlets - all deep in the heart of Fiordland National Park. Known for its pristine beauty and wildlife, Doubtful Sound is the second largest of the 14 fiords in Fiordland National Park, 10 times larger than Milford Sound. It is home to bottlenose dolphins and fur seals. Here we will land on a selected beach site for a wholesome, fresh, homemade lunch. On return we will fly past ice shelves, glaciers and meandering rivers before our return to Queenstown.
