The Midlea Garden Club will hold a program of interest to both gardeners and Shakespeare fans Monday, June 26 at 6:30 p.m. Club members have been working hard over several months restoring the Shakespeare Garden behind Levi E. The Lower CT River Valley Council of Governments (RiverCOG) will hold a residential paper shredding event Saturday, June 24 from 9 a.m. to noon at Westbrook Town Hall, 866 Boston Post Road. Renters rebate

State law provides a reimbursement program for Connecticut renters who are elderly or totally disabled, and whose incomes do not exceed certain limits. Persons renting an apartment or room or living in cooperative housing, or a mobile home may be eligible for this program.
