Course Description: This course is the first in a series of courses taken from the Redback Shooting System (RSS). As a level 1 course, it is used for familiarization training and is designed to provide the shooter with a solid grounding in the core skills and fundamentals to safely carry, control, handle and operate the handgun. The training objectives for this course include: 1. Firearms Safety, 2. Characteristics, 3. Nomenclature, 4. Marksmanship Fundamentals, 5. Stripping & Assembly, 6. Care & Maintenance, 7. Accessories & Gear Placement, 8. Loading & Unloading, 9. Ready Positions, 10. Drawing from the Holster, 11. Reloading, 12. Immediate Action’s & Stoppages and 13. Marksmanship. Ammunition: 300 rounds Gear: Pistol, Holster, (3) Magazines, magazine carrier, eye protection, ear protection, basic cleaning kit, appropriate range attire. Cost: $200
