ENGLISH AND MATHS

These are skills that we can all take for granted, but we all use English and Maths every day, often without even thinking about it.

At Stockton Riverside College we know how important these skills are to your future success and that is why we want to help all of our students develop their basic knowledge and pick up the qualifications to match. For students under 19, it is a Government requirement that you keep working towards these essential GCSEs, if you haven’t already achieved grade 9-4/A*-C.

At Stockton Riverside College, if you haven’t already achieved, we will help you work towards these important qualifications and continue to develop your knowledge alongside your full-time course. We want to help you make the grade!

THE PRINCE’S TRUST

Achieve Programme

This programme aims to help you develop your employability skills, and will cover topics such as enterprise, customer service, money management, career planning, presentation skills and healthy and active lifestyle.

The Prince’s Trust Achieve programme is an incredibly flexible model. It is delivered in the school setting or on our FE premises at Stockton, Redcar or the Skills Academy in Billingham. It is aimed at supporting young people to develop a range of personal and employability skills, combined with gaining nationally recognised qualifications.

The focus of the Prince’s Trust is to enable young people to achieve their potential. We can work together to ensure your students achieve things that they can be proud of. Students are empowered to take ownership of their work and to be accountable for their own successes.

The course can be delivered over half a day per week for one term or up to one day per week for the duration of the academic year.

The Achieve Programme can be run for the same group of young people over two or three years, or over as little as six weeks - depending on what is right for you and your group.

How to Apply...

School Students

Once an offer has been made, the 14-16 Manager will draw up a Service Level Agreement for the school and parents to sign. The learner will attend the course once all information is received and signed.

Electively Home Educated Learners
