Working in small groups and on supported trips you’ll take part in practical activities to help you achieve your own targets and put the skills you’ve learnt into practice. Your work will be recorded in workbooks, and you’ll also take part in enterprise activities and a work or vocational placement.

Is it right for you? If you want to explore and develop your personal and vocational skills, improve your life skills, achieve more independent living or enter the workplace, then come and see how we can help.

Foundation skills provide young people who are working at a range of levels with both the skills to cope with life independently and the potential to progress towards further opportunities in learning or employment. Taught by skilled and caring staff, our students grow in confidence and understanding and benefit from work experiences and enrichment activities and advice on their next steps.
