BOYS 1ST V BASKETBALL

The 1st V Basketball team was ready to make a name for themselves as they took part in the Newington Classic during the school holidays. Competing against some of the best teams in the region, the boys were determined to do their school proud.

The first day was a huge success, with the team winning all three of their games. Not only did they show skill and determination on the court, but they also demonstrated great sportsmanship. Day two saw the team reach the quarterfinals and they managed to win that game too. This meant they were through to the semi-finals and their opponents were Newington, the team everyone wanted to beat. The game was intense and the boys were neck and neck with Newington until the last quarter when Newington pulled away with the game and the boys were unfortunately knocked out. Everyone was disappointed but they were still proud of the team’s performance and the amazing results they had achieved.

Now that the tournament is over, the team is focusing on their next challenge: the CDSSA Gala day tournament which is taking place on Friday next week. The boys are determined to make the school proud again and show everyone what they are made of. The basketball community and school is behind the team and everyone is eagerly anticipating the results of the tournament. Who knows, maybe the boys will come out on top and bring home another amazing result for the school.
