THE CONCEPT

The idea came about the series when the writer Chris Newman was watching the 1979 film The Warriors where a New York gang had to make it back to Coney Island from Manhattan after a charismatic gang leader summons the street gangs of New York City to a meeting in a bid to take over the city. When he is killed, The Warriors are falsely blamed and now must fight their way home while every other gang is hunting them down. Chris decided to change that concept and make it about 2 feuding brothers from New York who now live in London, played by Michael Madsen as the older brother, and Tom Sizemore as the younger brother. With over 60 cars destroyed in the making of Buckle UP, from a Rolls Royce, several BMW’s, Mini’s, Jaguars, Ferrari’s this is the 2022 answer to The Italian Job meets the Fast & the Furious crossed with Game of Thrones and John Wick.

The Syndicate is run similar to the army. Each country has a Boss. Under them are their Captains who control their soldiers. Running the whole operation is the Boss of Bosses. No one knows if that is a man or a woman as their identity is always kept secret. Now, after years of trying, The Syndicate have finally arrived in London lead by two brothers Lucas and Logan Bergman. Two new York gangsters that started under the leadership of Albert

Anastasia, nicknamed The Mad Hatter and over the years of controlling London with an iron fist the Bergman brothers have grown apart. Each wanting to take control of the city for themselves. The trick is to steal the diamond and stay alive long enough to get Jack’s brother back as he races from Cornwall to London in this fast paced dark action adventure. Dodging bullets and rival gangs in the process. But the story starts years earlier before the Bergman brothers arrived into the country. This is a story of rivalry and betrayal,

death and honour. From the start of Jack’s racing career to the time he starts to become a getaway driver. We see how his life could have been so different if his parents weren’t killed. Along the way he meets a rival by the name of Dandy McKenzie, a 4 foot 6 inch dwarf, a night club owner with a killer instinct who becomes the enforcer for Lucas Bergman. What he lacks in height he makes up in venom. When Logan and Lucas Bergman were sent to London by The Syndicate, they hire an Assassin by the name of Henderson to help them. The Diamond’s Story

The Star of South Africa, also known as the Dudley Diamond, is a 47.69-carat (9.538 g) white diamond found by a Griqua shepherd boy in 1869 on the banks of the Orange River. The original stone, before cutting, weighed 83.5 carats (16.70 g). The finding of this large diamond spurred the rush by many prospectors to this new diamond field, known as New Rush but later to be known as Kimberley. The shepherd sold the stone for the hefty price of 500 sheep, 10 oxen and a horse to Schalk van Niekerk, a neighboring farmer locally famous for having discovered a 21-and-a-quarter carat diamond in 1866 which he had sold for a good price Van Niekerk sold the stone on to the Lilienfield Brothers in Hopetown for £11,200. The Lilienfield Brothers sent it to England where it changed hands twice before finally being bought by the Countess of Dudley for £25,000. William Ward, the Earl of Dudley, had it mounted with 95 smaller diamonds in a head ornament. The diamond stayed in the Wards’ possession until 2 May 1974 when it was sold on auction in Geneva for 1.6 million Swiss Francs, equivalent to around £225,300 (£2,048,630 in 2015), at the time.. It is now worth over 2 Billion Dollars.

THE CAST Tom Sizemore Tom Sizemore rose in prominence throughout the 1990s, establishing himself as a memorable toughguy actor, sought by the most respected directors in the business. Like many, he moved to New York City and struggled, waiting tables and performing in plays. His first break came when Oliver Stone cast him in a bit part in “Born on the Fourth of July” (1989). Bigger roles soon followed throughout the early 1990s, such as “Guilty by Suspicion” (1991), “True Romance” (1993), and “Striking Distance” (1993). 1994 proved to be an even bigger year for Sizemore, as he won the role of “Bat Masterson” in Kevin Costner’s star-studded biopic “Wyatt Earp” (1994), as well as one of his first truly memorable roles as “Detective Jack Scagnetti” in Oliver Stone’s controversial “Natural Born Killers” (1994). In 1995 he appeared in “Devil in a Blue Dress” (1995), “Strange Days” (1995), as well as the acclaimed crime epic “Heat” (1995), directed by Michael Mann. Sizemore’s first big leading role is in “The Relic” (1997), the big-budget effects thriller directed by Peter Hyams. Offered roles in “W.W.II” films directed by both Terrence Malick and Steven Spielberg, Sizemore chose the role of Sergeant Horvath in “Saving Private Ryan” (1998). The role and film received wide acclaim and introduced Sizemore’s talents to a much broader audience in a more human and wellrounded role than he had previously been given. After a flamboyant and uncredited mobster role in “Enemy of the State” (1998), Sizemore then portrayed a psychotic paramedic in “Bringing Out the Dead” (1999) directed by Martin Scorsese. Seemingly taking it easy, he then turned in fine but stereotypical performances in “Play It to the Bone” (1999), “Red Planet” (2000), and “Pearl Harbor” (2001). Sizemore then received another leading role in the high-profile military drama “Black Hawk Down” (2001) directed by yet another legendary director, Ridley Scott. Specializing in the sort of ultimate tough-guy/ manly man roles that hearken back to a different era in film, Sizemore continues to be a favourite of Hollywood’s greatest directors. Never afraid to speak his mind about anyone and anything, his sense of blunt honesty and lack of pretension is refreshing. A commanding voice and presence on film, Sizemore looks to continue as one of Hollywood’s greatest actors.

VIRTUAL PRODUCTION

Virtual Production is an emerging method that uses a suite of software tools to combine live action footage and computer graphics in realtime using Unreal Engine. Filmmakers and contributors across multiple locations can deliver feedback across digital or physical environments where cast members are physically working on set. Virtual Production Advantages: Remote Revolution For many, the recent push to virtual production is partially due to the pandemic. The sudden shift to remote meant coming up with a different way to get work done fast. It required teams to work with new tools and adjust their creative workflows and pipelines. But virtual production is about more than just connecting virtually. It has uncovered several advantages that allow studios to build bigger, innovate more, and deliver high-quality results earlier in the process. Time and Cost Savings For studios, virtual production saves time and money. Virtual scouting can eliminate travel time and additional expenses. Making creative decisions and revisions earlier in the process ensures that the right decisions can be made while actors are on set. This leads to cleaner takes and less rework.

Idea Iteration Virtual production allows creatives to develop their vision earlier. This opens room for exploration by visualizing shots and environments before anyone steps foot on set. Iterating on their vision helps studios bring people together to create something out of this world. Enhanced Visibility Historically, film-making has been siloed. It wasn’t until the final release many saw the CGI graphics and re-edited storylines. But with virtual production, everyone can have a more complete understanding, from previs to post. Virtual cameras and green screen live compositing act as a window into virtual worlds so contributors can see exactly what they are capturing. LED walls show film-makers and actors what the set they are on looks like both through their eyes and in-camera. Quick On-Set Transitions Using a virtual environment, teams can transition from one scene to the next without interrupting shooting. All of it is happening at one location! Digital assets can be changed up quickly, allowing film-makers to shoot several scenes with the same actors. Also, in a virtual location, the

film-maker has full control over the weather, time of day, lighting, object position, and more. These conditions can be recreated at any time and are immediately available. Library of Assets Virtual assets can utilize pre-built assets from existing libraries. They can quickly be customized to meet the needs of any production, without having to build from scratch. These virtual assets are stored electronically, reducing the cost of physical storage, transportation, and labour. Global Collaboration Virtual content can now be created by decentralized teams around the globe without delays. Now film-makers can build up their teams with creatives and technical specialists no matter where they are located. The possibilities widen without increasing the cost. Films out today like Lion King, Ripple Effect, and Mandalorian were made using made using game development technology. Because just like planning a game, film-making requires a high level of orchestration. To figure out dimensions (spatial reference) of characters, where assets should be placed, and how the camera angles and lenses will be set, you need a lot. Buckle Up

Red Rock Entertainment is a film-finance company, based at the world famous Elstree Studios, home to some of the biggest TV shows on UK television and the studio of choice for many successful British filmmakers. Working in conjunction with many of the UK’s top production companies to raise equity for film, TV content and film distribution, Red Rock Entertainment offers a number of tax-efficient opportunities to investors. They primarily work on projects that are at an advanced stage and are looking for the final tranche of financing. They focus on film and TV projects that have commercial appeal, an identifiable audience, controllable costs and a sound financial structure. They also require that certain elements are in place before they commit investors to any film or TV venture. As an executive producer, Red Rock Entertainment can arrange for investors to visit sets during filming, appear as extras and attend private screenings. It also regularly arranges seminars at Elstree Studios, at which high-profile corporate and financial specialists offer advice and insight into the various tax advantages of investing in the UK film industry. Executive producers either personally fund or raise the funding for motion pictures or television shows. They essentially act as the financial backer, helping production companies to secure the finances they need to drive their creative projects to the distribution stage. As executive producers, Red Rock Entertainment’s main role during the production process is to ensure that its film and TV projects are progressing according to schedule and budget. Although they have no direct input into a project’s editorial or artistic execution, they do have a say over anything that could affect its timing or marketability.

EQUITY

A DIAMOND OPPORTUNITY TO INVEST DON’T MISS OUT! Red Rock Entertainment works in conjunction with numerous UK film companies to raise equity for independent film projects. It focuses on those films that have already been completed or are almost complete, but require a final tranche of funding to cover the distribution costs. Investing in films can offer generous returns. The benefits extend far beyond the sale of box-office tickets: DVD sales, licencing to TV broadcasters and online platforms, and merchandising revenue all count towards a film’s profit and can continue to generate returns for many years after its theatrical release. The chance to be part of the magic of the movie industry is another perk of many film-investment opportunities. In some cases, your investment entitles you to appear in the movie as an extra, attend film premieres and red-carpet events, and see your name appear in the credits at the end of the film. As well as the potential for high returns, long-term earnings and a close encounter with show business, investing in the British film industry can also offer tax-relief benefits. A range of incentives is available to those who chose to invest in an SEIS or EIS film investment scheme.

PERKS & BENEFITS FILM SET VISITS Patience is a virtue — and never more so than on a film set. Pick your moment to approach an actor carefully; it’s never a good idea to disturb talent when they are shooting a scene, or preparing to shoot one. So be prepared to wait for the right moment to take a picture or ask for an autograph. You will probably be assigned with a ‘runner’ from the production company, whose job it will be to look after you and let you know what’s going on.

APPEARING AS AN EXTRA Being an investor also gives you the opportunity to be cast as a background actor, or extra. This is a performer in a film or television show who appears in a non-speaking capacity, usually in the background to the central action as an audience member, for example, or a passer-by in the street. Punctuality, reliability and the ability to take direction are important if you want to experience the thrill of appearing as an extra in front of the camera.

PRIVATE SCREENINGS Private film screenings form part of a film’s production and release cycle. To show off the film to its best advantage, special preview screenings are routinely held in low seat-count theatres offering high-quality projection and sound equipment. These events, which are usually accompanied by food and drink, also feature commentary from the film’s producers, writers or actors. The guest list for a private screening typically includes VIP media personalities, investors, and key marketing and distribution executives.
