SEDC Chairman’s Letter_
Greetings, SEDC is headed to vibrant coastal Alabama and the City of Mobile for our 2018 Annual Conference, July 29 - 31! The theme for this year’s SEDC Annual Conference is “Navigate, Innovate, Cultivate!” Our conference sessions and speakers will be filled with proven business leaders, strategists, economic development practitioners, and peers. Disruptive trends, new strategies, and innovations in Economic Development happen all the time; and our Annual Conference helps you to stay up-to-date. Let’s be honest - the Annual Conference is a lot of learning packed into a short amount of time. But you’ll also have opportunities to relax and get to know your peers. When you meet with your peers, you have an opportunity to collaborate, hear innovative ideas, and validate or change your perspectives. You may hear what others are doing and be inspired to implement something similar – or you might find a mentor, or even become one! Your SEDC Board of Directors is diligently engaged to continuously improve SEDC for our membership. The SEDC Annual Conference is one of the most valuable resources available to members of our organization. I hope you will take advantage of this resource for your personal professional development and for the benefits that your attendance and active participation can bring to your community! See you in Mobile this July!
