The Palais de Tokyo is a cutting-edge, audacious, and risk-taking Parisian arts center which o ers a fresh and innovative point of view on the contemporary art scene. Palais de Tokyo has become one of the largest sites devoted to contemporary creativity in Europe, and remains one of the most talkedabout due to its regularly-rotating multimedia group showcases that feature large scale sculptures, sound installations, videos, and performances. Founded in 2002, the Palais de Tokyo expanded for its ten-year anniversary in 2012, with its surface area augmenting almost threefold from 8,000 m 2 to 22,000 m 2 . It’s a cavernous space spread over multiple floors, with an industrial, almost unfinished feel. It’s latest ground-breaking exhibition, L’Etat du Ciel, features over ten exhibitions in 2014.
