HI! I’m an interior designer searching for my first opportunity in the interior design profession. I prefer to specialize in hospitality, residential, or healthcare. Still, I am open to any possibility that can help refine my skills and teach me the ways of design. Since I graduated from Iowa state university’s interior design program, I could update projects, learn new skills, and THINK ABOUT my values and how they can align with my career aspirations.
oNE OF MY HIGHLIGHTS THROUGHOUT MY EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL CAREER WAS MY SEMESTER ABROAD IN ROME, ITALY. dURING THIS SEMESTER, I GAINED SKILLS AND A PERSPECTIVE that helped shape me as a designer. Some professional highlights during this time were hAVING MY FIRST REAL CLIENT, presenting the final project in INFRONT OF An accomplished PANEL OF JUDGES (ARCHITECT AND INTERIOR DESIGNER FOR Fendi), and learning how to communicate through multiple language barriers.
When I’m not designing, you can catch me at your local estate sale, taking personality tests, getting inspiration from everyday living, or flipping through vogue magazines. I’m still figuring out and developing my style but listed on the next page are some inspirations of mine. Thanks for reading, and enjoy my portfolio!

Continuing care retirement community (CCRC)
CottonWood Community
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Partners: Cambria Lang and Lauren Puig
Background:
This project aims to use an abandoned mall and turn the site and mall into a CCRC for an elderly community. Evidence-based design is a crucial component and should be incorporated and thought of throughout the design process. the location of the abandoned mall should be considered in the design choices. For this project I was assigned to design the memory-care facility and the chapel located in the abodoned mall.
Client Profile:
- members are age 65+
- baby boomer generation.
- needs incorporation of activities, healthcare, and housing.
- MORMONS ACCOUNT FOR 49% of salt lake city’s population, requiring a chapel on-site.
- Every year, over 10 million dimentia cases worldwide are diagnosed. Given this information cottonwood community has a specialization in memory care.
Concept Statement:
Inspired by the surroundings of SALT LAKE CITY, THIS COMMUNITY WILL HAVE A CLEAN, INVITING, AND ELEGANT APPEAL. Adjustability is needed throughout each facility to provide an array of activities to the clients. The facilities will also need a feeling of warmth to give those a sense of comfort while they adjust to a new lifestyle.

wAYFINDING:
Knowing wayfinding is vital for those with dementia; using known art pieces can help decipher their location. Ranging from the mona Lisa to starry night, these paintings can offer comfort in familiarity and may be used as a landmark. For those who may not remember the art, the pallet and paintbrush on the back wall can also be used as a landmark.

Growing Family
Location: 1801 Basin Ledge, West Lake Hills, TX 78746.
Individual Project
Background:
This project aims to explore and address the challenges of luxury residential interior design, incorporating human behavior, context, social and cultural awareness, innovation, and the client’s unique needs. It helps to emphasize the necessary knowledge and skills to understand how to design residential environments that satisfy people and their needs effectively.
Client Profile:
- Young couple in their 30s with two children (newborn and four year old) plus a dog and cat.
- Planning to have at least one more child and to foster animals as children age.
- require individual spaces, including an art studio, office, playroom, woodshop, and a room for the nanny to stay overnight.
- Prefer neighborhood to have mature trees.
- want the interior to have a reflection of their Mexican heritage.
Concept Statement:
The residents of this home will evolve throughout the next twenty years; knowing this, they’ll need plenty of room to adjust to their growing family. Including adaptable spaces and timeless materials will help make this home changeable over time. Having a playful interior is substantial for young children’s developing brains. With this knowledge, pops of color, bold patterns, diverse aspects, and a fun persona will influence brain development and help reflect the family’s Mexican heritage.

BLOW Background:
For this project, we were given the floor plan of the flagship store, FENDI, located in Rome. Deciding on how we would reshape the inside of this preserved building was dependent upon our client’s profile. These clients were handpicked by each design group and were chosen based on the fashion show that the Iowa State Rome Program hosted. From there, we looked at our client’s thesis and came up with some critical points that we, as designers, believed represented their brand.
Client Profile:
- Studio 54
- Roller Disco
- Particular shapes (triangular, linear, circular)
- Bright/Exaggerated colors
- Inspired by Madonna
Concept Statement:
Inspired by Studio 54, this retail store will have bold statements, illuminating lighting, and vibrant patterns and colors. Various methods will incorporate these elements into the flooring, walls, and ceiling. Studio 54 was famous in the 80s, so the store will reflect the era in the floor plan along with the furniture.
