Since its inception in 1993, the Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove Kitchen Design Contest has become a coveted win in the residential home design industry, recognizing kitchen designers, architects, residential designers, interior designers, builders, remodelers, landscape designers, landscape architects, and students for advancing outstanding kitchen design. For 30 years and 14 contests, Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove has celebrated over 14,000 designs and promoted nearly 800 design professionals as part of the company’s Kitchen Design Contest.

Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove Announce 2022-2023 Kitchen Design Contest

Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove – the industry leaders in premium refrigeration, cooking, and dishwashing – announce the return of the Kitchen Design Contest, recognizing premier design professionals across the globe for their stunning, innovative kitchen designs.

Free and simple to enter, the Kitchen Design Contest is accessible online at www.subzero-wolf.com/contest. Eligibility for the contest requires that all project design and construction be fully completed within the contest period of January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2023. The Kitchen Design Contest will accept entries until 11:59 p.m. Central Time on January 31, 2024.

Contest entries are evaluated anonymously by a panel of seven esteemed judges, each a leader in the industry from disciplines including architecture, interior design, and kitchen design. All are previous Kitchen Design Contest winners and demonstrate passion for exceptional design and dedication to the design community.

The judges will review each design and hand-select the top entries from around the world after the entry period closes in January 2024. Forty-two Professional Finalists and one Student Winner will be announced and will receive a cash prize in spring 2024. Additionally, all Finalists and the Student Winner will win a trip for two to attend the Winners’ Summit and Gala in fall 2024, where thirteen Global Winners will be announced. The exclusive Summit and Gala location will be revealed later this fall.

Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove will award additional cash prizes to first-, second- and third-place global winners in each of the following Kitchen Style design categories: Traditional, Transitional, and Contemporary. Cash prizes will also be awarded to one winner in each of the following categories: Small Space Kitchen, First-Time Entrant, and Best Use Outside of Kitchen.

SPX Technologies Announces Acquisition of TAMCO

SPX Technologies Inc. announced today that it has acquired privately held manufacturer TAMCO. Headquartered in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada, TAMCO is a market leader in motorized and non-motorized dampers that control airflow in large-scale specialty applications in commercial, industrial, and institutional markets.

TAMCO, which has operations in Canada and the US, is wellknown for its eco-friendly solutions, which provide very low levels of air leakage in critical thermal applications, such as data centers and healthcare facilities. Victaulic Acquires Horizon Metals Inc.

On March 30, 2023, Victaulic, acquired Horizon Metals Inc., located in Nephi, Utah. The acquisition supports the company’s growth in the infrastructure and waterworks market by increasing capacity for large-diameter piping solutions, and is aligned with the strategy to manufacture these products in the United States.

Victaulic continues to demonstrate its commitment to meet the growing needs of its North American customer base by adding foundry and manufacturing capacity. With this acquisition, Victaulic has added over 1.4 million square feet of foundry and manufacturing capacity in North America since 2011.
