The study explores the effects of gentrification in Kings Cross, with a focus on the correlation between increased land value and emerging environmental issues (air pollution and noise) and its impact on the immediately surrounding areas. The proposal intends to revert the dynamics of how cultural production has been used in the area for land value inflation and profit, using agent-based design methods to strengthen the exiting cultural infrastructure with distributed craft and art production spaces to enable mechanisms of fairer growth and localised regeneration.
