Dear Parents and Carers,
REGENT FARM FIRST SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL PUPILS AND STAFF THIS WEDNESDAY (30th NOVEMBER). As you will be aware from the media, the combined teacher and public sector trade unions will be taking industrial action on Wednesday this week. The action (a one day strike) will result in whole school closures across the country. The decision to close the school or send pupils home is never taken lightly. However in this instance, where staff have elected to take lawful industrial action, I have no choice but to take appropriate steps to ensure the health, safety and well being of all pupils. Therefore, the Governors and I have taken the decision to close the school for one day. Yours faithfully,
